STERBUS presents ALFRISTON TWO FOUR FIVE, new video from the new album BLACK AND GOLD (link in bio) Direction & Deus Ex Machina: @rakele_tombini Shooting & Color Correction: @alexandre.mortoro93 Editing: @nuisance83 Styling: @ludovicarlini Make-up: @alicegennari__mua Starring: @giorgia.caf in the role of Virginia Woolf Emanuele Sterbini and Dominique D'Avanzo as the minstrels and River Aniene in the role of River Ouse Special thanks to @nazzifrancesca The theme is the waiting. On March 28, 1941, Virginia Woolf filled her pockets with pebbles and threw herself into the River Ouse near Rodmell, Sussex, a stone's throw from Monk's House, the house where she lived with her husband Leonard. She drowned. It was what she wanted. She was 59. It took days before her body was found. In the void created by the absence of news, friends and family gathered in Charleston, the home of her sister Vanessa Bell. One day the phone rang. And everyone, within those walls full of art and ancient emotions, discovered what had happened: it was revealed that the horror of war had amplified Virginia's fears and insecurity. Her depression, the inability to correlate with a violent world in which she did not recognize herself anymore. The line number was Alfriston 245. Music: Emanuele Sterbini and Dominique D'Avanzo Lyrics: @marco_zatterin Emanuele Sterbini: classical, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, piano, mellotron, vocals Dominique D'Avanzo: flute, tenor sax, clarinet, vocals @bstrd68: drums @dave__davidson_ : clavinet @maxmyrlcrowe: arp odissey @edoardotaddei__ : stunt guitar solo @grammatico_ : Poly D, trumpet, trombone Brenda Gaga: shaker, tambourine, vibraslap Recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered by Francesco Grammatico @ @junglemusicfactory in Tivoli (Rome, Italy) between May 2024 and September 2025. STERBUS presents a brand new video for THE GREATEST POSSIBLE HAPPINESS from the new album BLACK AND GOLD! Video concept + shooting + editing: Dominique D'Avanzo and Emanuele Sterbini Filmed in Isola d'Elba (October 2023) and in Genoa Aquarium (February 2025) Thanks to all the aquatic creatures who unwittingly took part in the filming and who are living in captivity against their will. May we all be damned. Emanuele Sterbini: electric guitar, guitar solo, bass, drums programming Dominique D'Avanzo: clarinet, flute Riccardo Piergiovanni: synth solo Music: Emanuele Sterbini Special thanks to Virginia Woolf for the title of the track. Relevant technical note: this one was originally demoed during the pandemic, in 2021. Unfortunately, after a computer crash, I lost the project for this song, and all I was left with was a "safety" mp3 file that I did for listening purposes a little before the accident. This means that it was impossible for Francesco to work on the isolated tracks of programmed drums, bass, guitars, synth and do a proper mixing job. Nevertheless we really liked the tune and I wrote additional parts for recorder and clarinet, that subsequently have been mixed with the original "backing track". The best that we could has been done to provide the song the best possible sound. Recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered by @grammatico_ @ @junglemusicfactory in Tivoli (Rome, Italy) between May 2024 and September 2025. Supported by Zillion watt records and @forte_festival LINK IN BIO! #virginiawoolf #sterbus #progressive #pronk #cardiacs #fuzzbass #hashtagsforthesakeofhashtagging #acquariodigenova taken in Isola d'Elba by @nuisance83
