It is the Southeast Side coming together. Families enjoying the park. Kids making summer memories. Neighbors reconnecting. Local businesses being supported. Music, dancing, laughter, and generations sharing the same space. That is what we saw at NuDay at the Park 2026.

If you have been down Kinsman lately, you may have noticed something new at Mt. Pleasant BBQ! The neighborhood favorite recently received new exterior signage through the City of Cleveland’s Southeast Side Promise (SES) Program, with our Economic Development team helping them through the process.

Who’s ready for a little pumpkin picking and carving? 🎃🍂

Fall is here, and our neighbors at @kingslearninggarden has something planned for the kids! On October 18, they are inviting young people ages 7–17 to the garden for an afternoon of harvesting pumpkins, carving them, and enjoying a little fall fun. And this one is happening right here in Mt. Pleasant! 🧡

Who is ready to get their hands dirty with us? 🙋🏽‍♀️🌱

We have spent this year bringing this community garden back to life, one project and one workday at a time. These photos are from our most recent cleanup, where we cleared and opened up the exterior of the site. Now we are ready to add some color while putting the space to work in a new way🌻🌧️

On October 17, we are partnering with @doan_brook to install a rain garden that will bring native plants and pollinators to the exterior while giving us a hands-on way to practice stormwater management right here in the neighborhood.
And we could use some extra hands! No experience needed. Come learn with us, plant with us, and help us keep transforming this community space💪🏽

Yesterday’s Get Out the Vote Garden Party at @kingslearninggarden brought neighbors together for food, music, conversation, and voter registration in a space already rooted in the Mt. Pleasant community 🏡✨🌱

🗳️With the November General Election approaching, here are the dates to know:

✅ Ohio’s voter registration deadline is October 5, and early in-person voting begins October 6.
✅ Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, with polls open from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM.

If you have moved, changed your name, or are not sure about your registration, now is the time to check and make sure your information is current.

Had to run this one back for y’all to see the bigger picture… 👀🏚️➡️🏡

Because the finished product only tells part of the story. This is what it looks like when an existing house in Union-Miles gets another chance instead of being left behind. @beyondwynn took this property through the rehabilitation process, and now it’s back in shape and ready to be lived in again. 🔑✨

A new chapter is officially underway in Union-Miles ✂️🎀💜💛

We were proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting of @forwardgirlsleadership and officially welcome its founding students to the Union-Miles community. This one is especially meaningful for us. The building that once housed our NuPoint offices is now filled with young women learning, building friendships, discovering their voices, and preparing to lead.

Behind the scenes, our Real Estate Development team worked alongside FORWARD to help prepare the space for its next chapter, making sure a building already rooted in this neighborhood could continue serving the community in a new way. What we plant today should still be giving back long after us. Let’s put down some NuRoots. 🌳👑🌱➡️🌳

We are partnering with the @clevelandtreecoalition and @arbordayfoundation to put more trees directly into the hands of Cleveland residents, FREE!

Residents can reserve up to TWO free trees per household, with several species to choose from, including pawpaw, persimmon, Eastern redbud, bur oak, elderberry and more. More trees mean more shade on hot summer days, cleaner air, greener blocks, and something that can keep growing for generations. 🌱
