"That is why I do not understand why we are continuing to push a square peg into a round hole that is oil/gas leasing within the Great Basin while cutting the state’s BLM staff by 30%."

"I would rather have the Nevada BLM support activities that benefit our state, like wildfire treatment, habitat restoration, energy/mineral permitting, and wild horse management. These issues need to be on top of Nevada's BLM priority list"

ONLY DAYS LEFT TO COMMENT! Deadline is 8/24

This is your LAST CHANCE to comment on the NV Energy Greenlink North transmission project that will cut through 50+ sage grouse mating areas, numerous cultural sites and affect Nevada’s rural communities.

The BLM is set to ignore their own wildlife conservation rules in order to approve and fast track this project.

Did you think you needed to stay on the Strip in Las Vegas for a “wild” time? Think again. 🤯

The largest wildlife refuge in the lower 48 states is located just 30 minutes away. The Desert National Wildlife Refuge is home to bighorn sheep, reptiles, and more than 300 species of birds. 🐑🐍🦅

BREAKING: The Local Input Act ensures that communities, Tribal Nations, and outdoor recreationists have meaningful input on public land management decisions. It also gives the Bureau of Land Management some discretion not to lease parcels of land for oil and gas based on that public feedback. Tell your members of Congress to support this important legislation!

Leasing public lands for oil and gas WHERE there is oil and gas makes sense to us.

Tying up public lands for a resource that is not here and putting wildlife habitat and appropriate energy development on the back burner is where we are confused.

"Nevada can continue expanding renewable energy while avoiding some of the state’s most environmentally sensitive landscapes."

“The most critical step is identifying these areas to develop, and where these areas are acceptable,” said Kuhlman.
