Public lands are where our wildest traditions come alive—from chasing elk with a bow to fishing, camping, hiking and simply giving wildlife room to thrive. These lands belong to all of us, and the people who use and care about them should have a real say in what happens next.

Unfortunately, public participation in land management decisions has severely curtailed. That’s why it’s critical that hunters, anglers, hikers, and all who love public lands need to remind Congress that the public needs to be actively involved in public lands planning. See link in bio to support the Local Input Act.

Well this was a super cool find apparently!

The Las Vegas Valley is the only documented location where Plexippoides flavescens has established its population in North America. First documented around 2014, these spiders likely arrived via military equipment returning from the Middle East. And now he’s just chillin on my house. #salticidae #spider #arachnid @omsystem.cameras @omsystem.americas

BREAKING: The Local Input Act ensures that communities, Tribal Nations, and outdoor recreationists have meaningful input on public land management decisions. It also gives the Bureau of Land Management some discretion not to lease parcels of land for oil and gas based on that public feedback. Tell your members of Congress to support this important legislation!
