Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a reminder that early detection, access to care, and strong support systems matter for both women and men, and for the families walking alongside them.

Our office was proud to join the 77th Precinct’s Pink Ribbon Walk to support survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and help keep these conversations visible in our community.

Thank you to the 77th Precinct and all of the partners who brought neighbors together for an important cause.

Breaking News!
It’s bittersweet for me to announce that Friday was my final day as Deputy Chief of Staff to Assemblymember Brian Cunningham. I am incredibly grateful for the past 2 years and for the opportunity to help represent the residents of 43rd Assembly district. Thank you to @nyamcunningham for the opportunity and thank you to entire team for their incredible work. During my time with the Assemblymember we secured millions of dollars for organizations in Central Brooklyn, 1 Billion dollars for SUNY Downstate, and passed 10 pieces of legislation through the Assembly. The friendships, lessons, and memories I made will last a life time.

I’m incredibly excited for what comes next and look forward to sharing with all of you soon. taken in New York State Capitol by @nyamcunningham

Episode 32: Brooklyn Small Business Series

Island Pops owner Shelly Marshall on why New York City feels like home. (Part Two)

Long before even thinking of her Island Pops ice cream brand, Shelly had just moved from Trinidad to New York City for school. She found the Caribbean community here so vibrant and authentic that there was barely any transition, and now she works to serve her neighbors a heaping scoop of nostalgia for where they and their families came from.

Today I recommit to speaking out and standing up. As a husband, a leader, and a man, I will not stay silent, and I'm asking other men to do the same.

Swipe to know your rights. If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, confidential support is available 24/7 at the NYS Hotline: 800-942-6906. For questions or help finding resources, call my office at 718-771-3105. by @nyamcunningham

Brooklyn, if you haven’t prepared yet, you still have time.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected to become more likely after 2 a.m., with winds increasing overnight and gusts reaching up to 45 mph Saturday. A Coastal Flood Warning for Brooklyn is in effect through 6 p.m. Sunday, with 1–2 feet of inundation possible in vulnerable waterfront areas.

NYC Emergency Management is also advising New Yorkers to prepare for 2–3 inches of rain citywide and the strongest winds from Friday night through Saturday night.

Charge your devices, secure outdoor items, move cars from low-lying areas and avoid unnecessary travel once conditions worsen.

Stay safe, Brooklyn. by @nyamcunningham

Today’s the day! We’re bringing free community shredding to the 43rd District.

Stop by our District Office at 249 Empire Blvd from 9 AM to 12 PM and safely get rid of old documents and sensitive paperwork.

Proud to partner with the NYC Department of Sanitation to bring this service directly to our neighbors. Clean out those files and come through! by @nyamcunningham

Good to be in Washington for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 55th Annual Legislative Conference, connecting with leaders from across government and organizations like The Collective PAC, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation.

There is real power in building relationships across cities, states, and levels of government to share ideas, strengthen policy, and advance the work our communities need.

Grateful to CBC Chair Yvette Clarke for her continued leadership. Bringing these conversations and connections back home to Brooklyn. by @nyamcunningham
