For those unable to make it to the book fair in person yesterday, join us for our day of virtual and international workshops.

We’ll be hearing from organizing folks from Greece, the Philippines, Switzerland, Mexico, Canada, and across the US. Full descriptions and streaming are up on our website and at radical-guide.com.

Forecast says 45-55 mph wind gusts tonight, so the film fest is postponed!! 🥵

Folks should still try and make it out to the book fair if they can while the rain is light! And look out for a new date sometime soon to immerse yourselves in incredible films and a community memorial for our elder in struggle, Ben Morea.

This show moved, but it's still happening! With the anarchist book fair, at Mayday Space in Brooklyn, 176 St Nicholas Ave.

Consumer Culture couldn't make the drive, and Persona is sick, but we've still got awesome bands happening, and a bunch of other stuff - puppets, Rude Mechanical Orchestra, plus all the radical literature you can every hope for.

So if you're not flooded out or generally discouraged by the state of the world, come hang! Event is free but donations for Mayday Space welcomed and encouraged. Speakers kicking off at high noon, music around 2pm, festivities wrapping up by 6pm. by @nycabf

The 20th Anniversary NYC Anarchist Bookfair will be happening today at our new indoor venue, Mayday Space at 176 St Nicholas Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn (Dekalb Av station of the L train). Our collective has weighed all the options, including canceling all together or selecting another date, with our main concern that our participants and guests remain safe in the current weather. There have been a variety of perspectives on the best course of action and we were not unanimous. That being said, we are very much looking forward to seeing many of you today. Here are the details.

We will be operating at reduced capacity as some groups and participants have cancelled due to the weather. We thank our compañeros at Mayday and the other replacement venues for their solidarity under these difficult circumstances. Please note that while the workshop venues are accessible, MayDay Space is not wheelchair accessible. Workshops will take place at nearby venues including Mil Mundos Books, Hive Mind Books, Tiny Arts Supply, and Starr Bar. Several workshops will continue at MORUS, their original venue. Please check final schedule onsite and keep an eye out for changes online at @nycabf

The safety of our bookfair community and participants is priority and we understand that some will choose not to travel today due to the weather and we respect those decisions. Please take caution while traveling or taking public transportation to the venue and if conditions are hazardous for you, we urge you not to travel. The Bookfair collective is discussing additional programming in the future for those participants who cannot attend today, we hope to see you very soon and look out for updates on those future plans.

For over 5 years, In The Belly has been producing media by and for incarcerated revolutionaries. Our project is to strengthen the bonds between all of us to overcome the state’s regime of isolation, to study and learn together, and to build a world without prisons. Join us for a conversation with incarcerated writers, editors and revolutionaries, exploring the ideals behind our project, the mechanics of our inside/outside organizing model, and the successes and challenges that come with producing a publication by and for those held captive by the Prison Industrial Complex. by @nycabf
