October is Infant Safe Sleep Awareness Month! Remember the ABCs of safe sleep: babies should always sleep Alone, on their Back, and in a Crib free of pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals.

Throughout October, ACS is hosting free, interactive events for parents and caregivers to share the same lifesaving information to keep babies safe while sleeping.

Meet Gina, a member of the Vendor Assignment Team in our Family Home Care (FHC) program! During her more than 30 years at ACS, Gina has served in several roles across the Divisions of Child Protection and Family Services, including nearly 20 years with FHC.

Gina works closely with child welfare teams, HRA Special Services case management teams, and homemaker service providers to coordinate services for families. She also helps reconcile provider accounts and keeps the team’s work running smoothly – all while bringing a calm, reassuring presence to those around her.

Meet Catrize, a Family Team Conferencing (FTC) Borough Director in our Family Services Division! Since joining ACS in 2010, Catrize has served in both frontline and leadership roles within FTC, helping ensure that families’ strengths, needs, and safety concerns inform case-planning decisions.

In her current role, Catrize oversees FTC operations, coaches and supports conference facilitators, and collaborates with provider agencies to promote consistent, high-quality practice. A Licensed Master Social Worker, she draws on her extensive experience and expertise to support colleagues and strengthen services for children and families.
