Now that summer has come to an end and fall is in full swing, it’s time to say goodbye to some of my favorite, and not-so-favorite, places to ride. 🍂🚴🏾‍♂️
One of those places is the Rockaway Boardwalk. Let’s just say I’ve had some interesting encounters there! 😂
This time of year, the boardwalk gets cold, windy, and a lot less enjoyable to ride. So, it’s time to switch gears and rethink when, where, and how I ride.
Do you change up your riding routine when the seasons change? Where do you ride when the weather turns cold?

Cycling has become an important part of my identity. It has given me great joy. It helps me stay sharp and provides great clarity. It allows me to see the world in ways I never dreamt of. I LOVE CYCLING! 🚴 #cycling #cycling #mentalhealth #nycyclelife by @nycyclelife

If you’re anything like me then your no@-cycling friends are sick and tired of hearing about you and your stupid bike and your stupid bike rides. #nycyclelife #roadbike #Halloween #spookyseason #strava by @nycyclelife

@tourdebronx was great this year despite Mother Nature having other plans. The strong threat of rain cut our ride short. #roadbike #cycling #cyclist ne taken in Brooklyn, New York by @nycyclelife

Roll with me to catch this 1:00pm. Navigating the city always feels like an adventure. This ride’s adventure was catching my train on time. Do you think I made it? #roadbike #cycling #nycyclelife #cyclist #adventure taken in NYC by @nycyclelife

🚨 PSA FOR MOTORISTS: Tell a friend.
Please be a little more patient with cyclists.
You’re protected by thousands of pounds of metal. We’re on two wheels with a helmet.
When you see us move around or slow down, there’s usually a reason. We’re avoiding potholes, sticks, glass, seashells, metal, debris, or whatever else is in the road.
Sometimes that means we have to zigzag, slow down, or take a little more space.
So please give us a few seconds. That extra 3–5 seconds isn’t going to change your day, but it could make all the difference in ours.
We’re just trying to get home safely. 🚴🏾‍♂️💨
Give us space. Give us patience. Share the road.#cyclist #cycling #psa #roadbike #nycyclelife by @nycyclelife

Another ride from Brooklyn to Philadelphia and another 100+ miles in the bank of fitness. The Philly ride is one of my favorite centuries and I love doing it with my cycling family @centurypluscrew We made it safely with no incidents or mechanicals. What could be better. #roadbike #nycyclelife #cycling #cyclist taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @nycyclelife

Meet Da Reggae Riders. A group of mature maniacs. The guys and gals of this group have a lot of miles in their legs and it shows. Good group, great riders. #nycyclelife #roadbikes bikes #cycling #cyclist by @nycyclelife

SOCALYPSO III was a huge success and yes it took an entire week for me to recover from all the bacchanal and ting. Thank you to everyone who attended and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make it happen smoothly and safely. We want to give an extra big shout out to the giant pot of corn soup that was waiting for us at the end of the ride. #socalypso #trinidadand tobago #jamaica #barbados #guyana #panama #haiti #caribbeanculture taken in Brooklyn, New York by @nycyclelife
