Here’s what a Surgi Doll can do. Child Life Specialists use them to show kids what to expect during a procedure, helping ease fear and giving them a sense of control. Many patients keep their doll with them through surgery, recovery, and healing at home.

Help us make Surgi Dolls for NYC hospitals on Wednesday, October 7. NYU Community Engagement will guide us through the kits, so no sewing experience needed. Treats from Magnola Bakery will also be provided to attendees! RSVP on Engage (link in bio).

A day in the life as a student at NYU Arts & Science looks different whether you are studying @nyucas, @nyuliberalstudies, or @nyugsas.

From top to bottom, Safiya Hamani (LS ‘28), Ali Bhimani (GSAS ‘28), and Delia Apetroaei (CAS ‘28) take us through their days.

Safiya is majoring in Global Liberal Studies and International Relations, and she is studying at NYU London. Her favorite class of the day was International Organizations. She spent part of her day walking around London, and she said she feels like she discovers a new area of the city every day.

Ali is an MA student in the General Psychology program in NYC. During his day, he had lift, diving practice, a neurolinguistics lecture, and a stats lecture! He also went to an origami-making event.

Delia is also studying in NYC and is majoring in Physics and Journalism with a minor in Math. During her day, she took Quantum Mechanics, Computational Physics, and Broadcast Journalism. In her Broadcast Journalism class, Delia got to run the teleprompter for the newscast the class put on. Delia ended her day by attending a journalism event and having Pho for dinner with a friend.

Thanks to all three students for taking us along for their days!
