Receiving the Olive Morris Award 2026 for Community Leadership and 40+ years of operating Nzinga Soundz was a wonderful and humbling moment! June was with us in spirit as were my beloved sister Lauren and my darling Mum. Phenomenal Women who have all inspired me on my journey. A special Shout out to DTA, Connie and her outstanding team @de_archive for delivering a truly memorable and uplifting celebration with contributors from Malawi, Baltimore, US and the university of the West Indies, Cave Hill Barbados. Yesterday would have been June's 68th birthday...still adjusting to this terrible loss but took time to remember some of the wonderful experiences we shared and the very happy memories. Rest in peace my beautiful, kind, funny, no nonsense, generous, talented and straight talking friend. One of a kind ✨🧡✨🧡✨🧡✨ by @nzingasoundz
