Another beautiful bike heading out the door!

This Trek Project One Domane SLR 9 AXS Gen 5 is looking particularly good in its custom Robin Red colourway. Built with 900 Series OCLV Carbon, SRAM RED AXS and Bontrager Aeolus RSL 51 wheels, it’s a seriously impressive endurance road machine.

Thinking about a Project One or custom build of your own? Get in touch! taken in Oak Bay Bikes by @oakbaybikes

Another Avinox-powered e-MTB has landed at Oak Bay Bikes. 🔥

The new Mondraker Zendit RR is a serious head-turner. That unmistakable Mondraker silhouette, sleek lines and beautifully integrated DJI Avinox drive system make for one seriously good-looking bike.

But it’s not just about looks. Big power, serious capability and Mondraker’s signature handling make this thing every bit as impressive on the trails.

Now in store at Oak Bay Bikes. Come see it for yourself. taken in Oak Bay Bikes by @oakbaybikes

DENIM-DURO RECAP🏁

Jorts? Homemade. Canadian tuxedos? Represented. Chafing? You tell us?

We don’t think we’ve seen this much denim in Hartland since ‘02. Thank you everyone who came out for this one!! Massive s/o to @oakbaybikes for sponsoring the wicked prizes, bbq, and helping out with logistics and @uvic.mtb.club for partnering with us! Thank you thank you thank you to all of our volunteers: Kyler, Ian, Char, Rick, Mike, and Kara for timing; Jo and Char for checking everyone in; Audrey for slinging dogs for everyone; and once again char for snagging these awesome photos to share with our community 🫶

If you’ve been on the fence to try a tenner, we hope this gives you a vibe of what it’s all about: getting together to ride bikes.

Next tenner is October 24th. See you there 👻 taken in hartland mountain bike park (the dump) by @oakbaybikes

A pretty special delivery at the shop recently.

Earlier this year, we were proud to help support the Polar Bike Project, an initiative bringing bikes to youth in northern communities across Canada.

This year, the project made its way to Paulatuk, NWT — a fly-in community where getting bikes and equipment in is no small task. With support from the Canadian Coast Guard, Cycling NWT, bike shops, volunteers and organizations across the country, bikes were collected, inspected, repaired and transported north for local youth to ride and enjoy.

The team was kind enough to send us a book and plaque from the project as a thank-you, and we’re very happy to have played a small part in getting more kids on bikes.

At its core, the project is about more than bikes — it’s about giving kids the freedom to explore, spend time outside, build confidence and, hopefully, discover a lifelong love of riding.

Thanks to everyone involved for making it happen. Read more at the link in bio by @oakbaybikes

Another Wild LT just rolled through the doors. 👀

This time it’s the Orbea Wild LT H10 in Racing Green – White Cream, and we don’t expect this one to hang around for long.

Big travel, serious descending capability and the Avinox drive system make the Wild LT a pretty exciting option for the steep, technical riding we have here on the Island.

And this colourway? Even better in person.

Now on the floor at Oak Bay Bikes. Come check it out before someone else takes it home. taken in Oak Bay Bikes by @oakbaybikes

Another gravel bike worth putting on your radar!

The Orbea Terra is built for gravel from the ground up. Plenty of tire clearance, confident handling when things get rough, and enough efficiency to still feel quick when you’re back on pavement.

It’s also packed with smart details for bigger days out, including integrated downtube storage and plenty of mounting options for carrying what you need.

The Orbea Terra is available now at Oak Bay Bikes. Link in bio taken in Oak Bay Bikes by @oakbaybikes

This one might need a little explaining. 👀

The Salsa Fargo 32 Steel Frameset has arrived! A seriously unique platform designed around massive 32-inch wheels.

Yep, 32”. More rollover, more momentum and more traction, paired with a steel frame built for the kind of big, adventurous rides the Fargo has always been known for.

Right now, it’s just a frameset. But we’re already pretty curious to see what this thing looks like built up. Come check it out in the shop. taken in Oak Bay Bikes by @oakbaybikes
