A new chapter of inclusion has begun. 🌱

We are delighted to announce the official inauguration of the OAK Club, beginning with our first chapter at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).

The OAK Club is a student-led community created to promote disability awareness, inclusion, advocacy, volunteering, and meaningful engagement with persons with disabilities and their families.

Through the Club, students will have opportunities to learn, lead, challenge misconceptions, and contribute to selected OAKonsult outreaches, seminars, workshops, and other impact-driven activities.

This is more than the launch of a student club. It is the beginning of a community where young people can help make inclusion part of everyday campus life.

To every student who has chosen to be part of this first chapter: welcome to the OAK Club. Your voice, ideas, and actions matter.

Together, we can build communities where persons with disabilities are seen, heard, respected, and included.

Got the privilege of being part of Green Worship 9, and as I stood there, I was reminded again of my WHY. 💚

Why OAKonsult?

Why OAKonsult?
Why disability?
Why keep speaking, advocating, building and showing up?

Because beyond the statistics are people.

People created by God.
People worthy of love, dignity, care and belonging.
People whose lives matter deeply to Him.

There are over a billion people living with disabilities across the world, and for me, this is also a matter of the soul.

Jesus died for them too.
He loves them too.
With an everlasting love. 💛💚🧡

So when we advocate for inclusion, support a parent carer, create opportunities for a child with a disability, or help someone see disability differently, it is much more than a project to me.

This is my WHY.

This is why OAKonsult exists.

To serve.
To love.
To advocate.
To remind people that no life should ever be overlooked.

Today is the day! 💚🎉

Green Worship 9 is here, and this year feels especially significant for us at OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach as we are honoured to be one of the beneficiary organisations of this year’s Concert for Change.

Tonight, people will gather for an evening of powerful praise and worship, but beyond the music is a beautiful purpose using worship as a platform to create real change in the lives of children with special needs and underprivileged children across Nigeria.

We are grateful to Green Worship and Concert for Change Foundation for choosing to invest in this work and in the children and families at the heart of it.

This year, OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach is honoured to be one of the beneficiaries of Green Worship 9. 💚

And we do not take this opportunity lightly.

Every day, we see the difference that the right support, care and access can make in the life of a child living with a disability, and in the lives of the families caring for them.

Through Green Worship 9, Concert for Change Foundation is raising ₦500 million to support six organisations working with children with special needs and underprivileged children across Nigeria.

We are deeply grateful to Green Worship and Concert for Change Foundation for choosing to stand with organisations doing this work and, more importantly, for choosing to invest in the children and families at the heart of it.

For us at OAKonsult, this support means more than funding.

It means more children can be reached. More families can be supported. And more possibilities can be created.

Thank you for believing that every child deserves the opportunity to receive the care and support they need to thrive.

For some children, access to the right medical care can change everything.

It can mean pain identified before it becomes worse.
A condition properly assessed.
A parent finally getting answers.
A child receiving the support they need to live more comfortably and fully.

For children living with disabilities, especially those in underserved communities, healthcare cannot be something they only access when there is a crisis.

They need to be seen.
They need to be assessed.
They need consistent, appropriate medical support.

This is why Medical Outreach matters.

Because sometimes, what stands between a child and a better quality of life is simply access.

And every child deserves that chance. 💚

We may not be able to change everything at once. But when we reach one child, support one family and help one community understand disability differently, the impact travels further than we know.

One child at a time. One family at a time. One community at a time.

Some moments are bigger than an opening ceremony.

Because what opened on 25 September was not simply a building.

A door opened. 💚

A door to support. A door to belonging. A door to early intervention. A door to community. A door to possibilities for children and the people who care for them.

For months, we have watched The Bridge move from an idea, to empty rooms, to a space carefully created with children and parent carers in mind.

And now, the doors are open.

People walked through the rooms we once only imagined. And somehow, that makes everything feel different.

Because The Bridge is no longer just a possibility. It is here.

A place where a parent carer can walk in and know, “I don't have to figure everything out alone.”

A place where children can be seen beyond a diagnosis or disability, and given opportunities to learn, explore, develop and thrive.

And for us, there is another story quietly woven through these walls.

Abigail. 💜

One life that changed the way we saw disability, caregiving and what families truly need.

She could not walk through these doors today.

But because she lived, these doors are open for others.

That is legacy.

Not simply being remembered, but leaving something behind that keeps making room for other people's lives to become better.

The Bridge is officially open. 💚

And now, the stories we dreamed about can begin.

It started as a space.

Now, look at what it has become. 💚
Every corner prepared with intention.
Every detail considered with children and parent carers in mind.

A place to walk into and feel welcome.
A place for children to explore, learn, play and be supported.

A place for parent carers to find support, information, community, and perhaps simply the comfort of knowing, “I don't have to do this alone.”

This is The Bridge.

And watching these rooms come together reminds us that we weren't simply renovating a building.

We were making room for possibilities.
Possibilities for children.
Possibilities for families.
Possibilities for stories that haven't even begun yet.

And then, at the end of this video, there she is. Abigail. 💜

The life that taught us to see differently.
To look beyond disability and see the person.
To look beyond limitations and see what could be possible.

She may never walk through these finished rooms… but because she lived, many others will.

📍One life.

Look at that smile. 🤗
Not the wheelchair.
Not the oxygen tube.
Not the diagnosis.

Look at Abigail.🥰😍

Her joy.
Her personality.
Her light.
Her unmistakable love for life.

For so long, the world has been taught to look at children with disabilities and see what is missing.

Abigail taught us to look again.

She taught us that a life does not have to look like everyone else's to be full.
That a person does not need to fit our definition of ability to have something extraordinary to give.

And that sometimes, the lives we think need our help are the very lives that end up changing us.

Abigail changed us. 🥰

She taught us to see the child before the diagnosis.
📍The person before the disability.
📍The possibility before the limitation.

And perhaps one of her greatest lessons was this: Life is not only about how long we live, It is also about what our lives awaken in others.🤩

Today, Abigail is no longer physically here.
But look at what one life has awakened.

A movement.
A community.
A deeper commitment to children with disabilities and their families.

And now, The Bridge — a family support and early intervention centre created so that more children can be seen, more parent carers can be supported, and more families can discover possibilities they may not have known existed.

This portrait captures Abigail beautifully.
But her real portrait is still being painted.
In every family that finds support.

Every child who is seen for who they are.
Every parent carer who realises they don't have to walk alone.

Every possibility that gets a chance to become reality.
One life. A thousand stories.

Abigail's was one life.

Today, Abigail would have been 18. 💜

And today, something that began with one life opens its doors to many more.

Abigail Oluwatoyitan Adeloye taught us many things.
🥰She taught us to see beyond what was immediately visible.
🥰To see the person before the diagnosis.
Possibility before limitation.
🥰And to understand that sometimes, loving one person deeply can teach you how to love many others better.

Her life taught us to live beyond ourselves.
Today, on what would have been her 18th birthday, that lesson takes on a new meaning as we unveil and commission The Bridge - a family support and early intervention centre.

The Bridge is not a monument to Abigail.
It is a continuation of what her life awakened.
A place where another parent carer can find support.

Where another child can be seen for who they are and what is possible.

📍Where questions can meet answers.
📍Where families can find community.
📍Where earlier support can help create different possibilities for a child's tomorrow.
One beautiful life touched ours.

And because she lived, we hope thousands of other stories will be touched too.

One Life... A Thousand Stories.
Living Life Abundantly.
