Federico Durand’s latest album, La Manzana Mágica, was inspired by his collection of Cinderella stamps: illustrated labels created by charities, hospitals, and communities to raise funds for local causes.⁠

“It seems to me that the Cinderellas originate from that slower, smaller temporality. The era of waiting, of patience.”⁠
⁠
It’s a way of noticing that feels inseparable from Federico’s work. Over the years, he has refined a sound that feels like a collection of handwritten notes, faded photographs, and keepsakes from childhood.⁠

in Venice is a collaboration between @cheri___moya and @sarthdichter. Their practice grows through improvisation and conversation, both with each other and with the people and places they encounter.⁠

Starting today, they’re spending the week in our space, returning to earlier material, following new ideas, and letting each one lead to another through the process of making. On Sunday, July 12, they’ll share a first glimpse of what they’ve been working on during our next in-store concert.⁠

Come by if you’re around. This one is especially close to home. Dean and Saraya have been part of these concerts from the very beginning, always there listening and supporting what we’ve been building. Now it’s their turn to take part in a different way. by @objectsandsounds

Since his teenage years, Will Yates has been making music as memotone.

Working with a wide range of artists and labels, his music shifts between different sounds, methods, and ways of working instead of settling into a single approach.

“The name has existed since I was 16. Somehow, even then, I knew it was the right name for this project. I just knew what memotone was supposed to be.”

For the past two weeks, @soo.k.wav has been working from our space in Ghent, playing with synths, textures, and rhythms while gathering recordings from around the city. ⁠

Tomorrow, she’ll share music she’s made during her time here, with UNOS and Ant FM playing records before and after her live set. ⁠

These shirts were made at @monster_garment in Echizen, Fukui Prefecture, on the west coast of Japan. The region has a long history of textile making and craftsmanship. ⁠

We’ll be making our way back to the factory this Sunday for an afternoon with @kmcolon_ and @tomoya_tablas. The event is part of an ongoing collaboration with km:, around sound as a way of remembering disappearing ways of making and working.⁠ by @objectsandsounds
