Design 01 — Wrap Drape Dress.

After a few different versions, this is the one I kept coming back to. A twist across the bodice, a wrapped waist, and fabric falling freely below.

One Design, One Week — Design 01.

The Wrap Drape Dress started with a simple idea: one piece of fabric, allowing gravity and the body to determine the shape.

The process changed along the way — as it always does.

Before I start making, I collect.

Images, shapes, gestures, construction details — anything that makes me stop and look twice.

For the Wrapped Drape Dress, I kept coming back to the way fabric wraps, folds and falls around the body.

I don’t want to know exactly what the garment will become yet.

That’s the part I like.
