Back from Leipzig, Germany, after a wonderful few days sourcing at one of the city’s largest antique markets.

We returned with a collection of old European pieces — worn surfaces, beautiful patina, and objects chosen simply because they caught our eye.

Over the next little while, these finds will slowly make their way into the farmhouse.

The farmhouse is open by appointment for those who would like to visit, browse the collection, and see the new arrivals in person.

New on the website: authentic 1800s German grain sack pillow covers.

Each cover is made from an original antique grain sack, so the faded lettering, patches, stains, and wear are all part of its history. No two are exactly alike.

The grain sacks are washed before being sewn locally in Canada with reinforced stitching and a hidden zipper for everyday use.

A simple way to add authentic character to your home.

Insert sold separately. by @objekts.ca

Jewelry might be my main love, but antiques were my first. My parents were both antique dealers, so naturally this life found me early and never really let go.

Throughout the shop, you’ll find a collection of antiques sourced by both myself and Atta from @objekts.ca. We each hunt in our own way, drawn to different places and different stories, but our aesthetics seem to speak the same language.

Atta travels to France in search of beautiful things, and if you haven’t spent time exploring his world yet, I highly recommend it. His eye is extraordinary. I’ve been drawn to his work for many years, so having his pieces woven throughout the shop feels a little surreal, and somehow very full circle.

There’s also an antiques section on the website where you can browse what’s currently in stock. We don’t typically ship these pieces, but where there’s a will, there’s usually a way. Besides, I’ve never been one to turn down a scenic drive and a chance encounter 😉 taken in The Vintage Vault Jewelry by @objekts.ca
