The newest Sailor Pro Gear, in collaboration with Kamawanu, is born from the theme of "Cherishing Everyday Life." It brings together Sailor’s celebrated Japanese pen craftsmanship and the heritage textile artistry of Kamawanu.

The collection features two colorways:
Tsurumaru-ume features a warm ivory body with vivid red motifs of cranes and plum blossoms: symbols representing longevity, peace, and harmony.
Fugu-tatewaku is finished in a rich, deep indigo blue patterned with white pufferfish and rising bubble streams, a motif historically celebrated for bringing good fortune.

Each pen is accompanied by a matching, authentic Kamawanu tenugui dyed in the exact same heritage pattern. In Pro Gear Standard size, both styles include a gold plated stainless steel nib and are limited to a run of 400 pieces. taken in Oblation Papers and Press by @oblationpapers

It's hard to believe that summer is over and we're finishing out with our last @firstthursdayportland of the year. We've enjoyed letterpress printing demos, hearing @pearlguitars band playing in the gallery, our letter writing station, and staying open late to enjoy the evening sun. Join Kris of @waxward_seals at the shop for a hands-on workshop learning the craft of wax sealing. Check out our events page to RSVP for this event, happening at the end of October.

Kris will guide you through the process step by step, sharing tips on choosing wax colors, controlling the pour, and blending two colors into a single seal for a marbled or layered effect. You'll leave with up to ten finished seals of your own, ready to finish off letters, invitations, gift wrap, or the envelope you've been saving for someone special.

All materials and supplies are provided, and no experience is needed. If you'd like to keep going once you're home, additional wax, stamps, and supplies will be available to purchase, along with a make-at-home kit for $40 that has everything you need to continue sealing on your own. And PS - all of these seals and more are currently available at the shop! taken in Oblation Papers and Press by @oblationpapers

The joy of travel lies in discovering a world you’ve never seen before.

Your heart races at the sight of unusual architecture and signs; you savor dishes you’ve never tasted before; and you lose yourself in music you’ve never heard. You experience cultures different from your own and interact with locals. Being moved by experiences you can’t have in your daily life unleashes your imagination and broadens your world. Finding these “differences” is the very joy of travel.

TRAVELER'S notebook, customized to your personal taste and filled with records of fun experiences and things you love, is like an extension of yourself. That’s why, even though they all start out the same way, each notebook becomes unique to its owner—a one-of-a-kind creation.

When using TRAVELER'S notebook, even travelers from different cultures can feel a sense of camaraderie simply by showing each other their notebooks. We can understand one another, transcending gender, age, and nationality.

Every TRAVELER'S notebook is unique, and that's wonderful. If we can embrace those differences, no one will judge, and we can respect one another. We are all different and all wonderful. We truly believe that from the bottom of our hearts.

Have a nice trip with your one-of-a-kind TRAVELER'S notebook in 2027! taken in Oblation Papers and Press by @oblationpapers
