As a Venezuelan-family haver, I *can* confirm, we are ALWAYS telling the dog about how we wanna eat her up! šŸ„°šŸ•ā€šŸ¦ŗšŸ–¤šŸ¤āœØ(šŸ¤ÆšŸ”øšŸ¤„šŸ”ø)

There was this brief beautiful moment where insta reels only shared The Horse Knows then it went back trying to feed me racism. by @obligatoryinstagerm

I’ve complained of having too few photos of me. My trains kept getting cancelled so my brother and I went to waste time at the burn pit where half our childhood forests had been destroyed. Our eyes got too big for our stomachs as we fished out perfect stands for split-log bridges for the trails, trails we hope will incentivize everyone to preserve the remainder, and plastic half-tubes for gardens that’ll never get built. And then an illithid of rebar emerged from the rubble. by @obligatoryinstagerm

Abandon hope all who enter here; cheesy (and somewhat political) poetry ahead
ā€œI feel like I’ve been thrown at life to fail,
doomed, unworthy of love to make me whole,
so I commit to ā€œmeā€ and run my trails,
and dare myself to arbitrary goals.
But before reaching a mile I say,
ā€œenough for today,ā€ I CHUNK my blade in a stump; disturbed, listening to a radio story
of UFC, lonely men, and Donald Trump.
I rest my skinny ass on greying leaves
in the blue leggings that get me called maricón;
me- ā€œGrass-Toucher,ā€ ā€œTrail-Keeper,ā€ who believes
he’s in fact manlier than all of ā€˜em-
But pause the thought- look at my machete:
what man am I, that bullies a dead tree?ā€ by @obligatoryinstagerm

I traveled recently. To a wedding. I bring my skateboard places. The oaks in Bushnell Park were especially beautiful. Turkey Oak and White Oak. The elevated places in the center of town were a bit like an empty video game level, but there was a beautifully cultivated meadow filled with birds and insects by the science museum. taken in Hartford, Connecticut by @obligatoryinstagerm

I sent this to a friend joking that the new Cy Twombly dropped. Flip through and you’ll see the joke. It’s the prints of everyone’s filthy shoes during last year’s snow on the subway. Nasty. taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @obligatoryinstagerm

I have been very busy but it’s not like as if it’s business coming from succeeding at life so you don’t have to have any FOMO. I ran Bartram’s Mile recently and am excited for its connection to the Schuylkill Banks and had the pleasure of photographing thistle, railroad wheels, and the stump a rickety abandoned demolished bridge that I definitely was not supposed to be on (not pictured)

I am a sick mind that enjoys simple pleasures but that ends up putting a sickening angle on simple things. Here i’m relishing the sound of my gelatinous stock (2nd or 3rd brew of those bones and skins) plunking on the side of the jar. It has had a few too many meals of low-grade pasta boiled in it and is saturated with delicious pastaleftovers. Plunk, plunk, plunk. by @obligatoryinstagerm

Idk how to b on social nowadays esp. since it all feeds the AI beast. Photo from May 23 2021. A crab who probably discarded a claw on the Nansemond, but looks like he’s the subject of jokes about self-loving. I never used to get those jokes. by @obligatoryinstagerm

This was in 2014. I reeeally wanted to be in theatre but I also wanted to make it all from scratch, *aggressively* oblivious to the business and command structure. Lighting and set design project. We were told to use a bottle in place of our character but that didn’t mean other characters couldn’t make cameos as paper dolls. Imagine my delight as going waay above and beyond paid off, as the Victorian lady paper dolls showed up in these high dynamic range photos. My project partner came up with the mirror illusion and I built the set out of the rubble of Columbia Avenue bank, and I painted a little stained glass window ddepicting Le Mort de Bara. The effect was like a crazy video game we both liked as kids. IYKYK šŸ˜› by @obligatoryinstagerm
