Autumn issue is live! Thank you to everyone that contributed. Very excited to have artists from California, West Virginia and beyond! And thank you to everyone that reads! The link is www.nakedcityzine.com and posted on my profile to make it easy for you ;) For anyone interested to submit, we are accepting art for the Winter issue! We are a quarterly zine, so expect a new issue every time the season changes. Here's a little for info: Naked City is an artist-led publication celebrating the human figure — and the models who inspire. We are a home for all artists: painters, drawers, photographers, writers, poets, filmmakers, and anyone else inspired to create. Each issue gathers work across painting, drawing, photography, writing, poetry, video, and whatever form creativity decides to take. The figure has been at the centre of art for as long as art has existed. Whether it be a drawing on a cave wall or a post on social media, the pose hasn't changed. Only the medium has. . . . #figuredrawing #artmagazine #zine #comic #graphicnovel #lifedrawing

Congratulations to Ki, Ian, and Brandon on their promotions last night! Some say the hardest belt to earn is a black belt, but honestly it takes more courage and determination to tie in a white belt the first time and begin the journey. I’ve complained of having too few photos of me. My trains kept getting cancelled so my brother and I went to waste time at the burn pit where half our childhood forests had been destroyed. Our eyes got too big for our stomachs as we fished out perfect stands for split-log bridges for the trails, trails we hope will incentivize everyone to preserve the remainder, and plastic half-tubes for gardens that’ll never get built. And then an illithid of rebar emerged from the rubble.
