Collaboration in action! 📚✨

Educators from @centraliaesd , @lahabraschools and lowelljoint school districts came together for the OCDE Literacy Fellowship’s first full-day collaboration.

Teachers, coaches, special education teachers and intervention teachers examined their Tier 1 literacy systems—celebrating current strengths, identifying opportunities for greater clarity and recognizing their collective agency to strengthen instruction for every student.

We are grateful for the thoughtful conversations, shared learning and commitment of this incredible fellowship community. Strong literacy systems grow when educators learn and lead together! taken in Centralia Elementary School District by @ocdeptofed

With 12 years of experience, Saldivar has built a classroom where students develop bilingual skills, tackle challenges through hands-on learning and gain confidence in their abilities.

Saldivar was first recognized in April as one of six Orange County Teachers of the Year, when County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stefan Bean, program sponsors and members of the school community surprised her on campus.

Fellow Orange County honoree Brittany Walters of Dr. Peter Marshall Elementary School in the Magnolia School District was also named one of four finalists for the statewide award.
