Join us for 'Unearthing Seafarers', a guided walking tour along the north bank of the Birrarung, exploring how landscape architecture is helping shape healthier, more connected and climate-resilient public spaces.

Set within Seafarers Rest, the Greenline Project and the surrounding riverfront precinct, this behind-the-scenes tour offers a closer look at the design ideas transforming Melbourne’s waterfront.

Where: Seafarers Rest Park, Docklands
When: Saturday, 17 October, 10:30am–12:00pm

Nature needs more than good intentions – it needs action, collaboration and design decisions that add up.

Today is World Nature Conservation Day, a great day to reflect on the role the built environment must play in protecting, regenerating and restoring natural systems. 🌿

OCULUS was inspired to co-author the Nature Design Guide – a practical, industry-led resource supporting Country-centred and nature-positive outcomes from the earliest stages of design.

The Guide includes the Country and Nature Design Tool, created to help project teams identify opportunities, test benefits and choose nature-based interventions to create healthier ecosystems and better places for communities.

Download the Guide and use the Tool to shape a Country-centred approach to nature-based design in the Australian built environment. (Link in bio.)

Great news for a project OCULUS was part of – Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) City Park has been recognised at the 16th Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards.
OCULUS in partnership with @pentagogroup designed and delivered this 4-hectare rooftop park, sitting high above Kuala Lumpur, with @Lendlease. Setting a new benchmark for urban green infrastructure developments, it features lush vegetation, shaded places to pause, layered terraces, advanced soil design techniques, water play areas, an innovative drainage system and impressive views back across the city.
TRX City Park was recognised with the Project of the Year Award for TRX Public Realm and an Excellence Award recognising implementation.
Congratulations to Pentago Group, @GDPArchitects, @GrimshawArch and everyone who brought this elevated urban oasis to life.

"As an avid list-maker I love that the garden, despite its energy, is listless: never complete and never fully understood. It is full of life but is fostered for the appreciation of stillness."

Pick up the latest issue of @landscapeau to read Claire Martin's 'Gardens as agents of change' article.
