PATAGONIA DAY 7 - It was huge Brookies all day! Our drive to the lake was a beautiful and unforgettable experience, seeing the landscape covered with a freak snow storm from overnight.

As we rowed out about 50 yards away from shore casting streamers, the brookies started to hammer them. They were good ones but “average size”, which would be huge anywhere in the world.

As the day progressed, their size grew larger and larger. It is an understatement to say that we were excited to catch some of the largest brookies ever in our lives. I told Joe during our travel to Patagonia, today would be a day he will remember for the rest of his life. The size of the brook trout he will catch will be something he won’t catch many place else in the world. I believe he experienced that.

Props to our friend and guide, @pagnaflyfishing on getting us on these huge brookies. We were pleasantly exhausted with sore arms casting streamers and fighting aggressive brookies all day. At the end of our fishing day, all the beautiful snow melted and everything has returned to normal weather. Upon our return to Brook Trout Base Camp, we knew we would have a great dinner, seeing the chef preparing lamb, asado style. More photos of that coming soon.

Getting back to some carping after a bit of hiatus chasing other species. Returned to some old spots that I haven’t fished for some time and the recent floods have significantly changed the river. It’s like fishing a new river now.

Some fishing and football in east Tennessee. Good to see my Vols play again. Thanks @ditchfisher511 and @soho_rivercompany for getting me on many browns and some trophy studs! Tied another PB for me. East TN and its wild browns are amazing. I do miss the morning dew and fog rolling over the scenic hills and mountains of east Tennessee.

TEXAS TARPON - We all teamed up with Ben Christensen of @pearlsnapoutfitters to chase after some Texas tarpon and snook. No luck with the snook but the tarpons came out to play. No complaints at all!
