The world’s on fire, come see a play! ZEITGEIST • a new play by Ben Yoganathan premieres @toronto_fringe !

ZEITGEIST follows six twenty somethings for one night of big feelings, bad decisions, and unsolicited opinions on art, love, and late capitalism. Drinks are poured, friendships teeter on the edge of disaster, and someone (probably) trauma-dumps in the kitchen.

Blending together film, theatre and dance; ZEITGEIST is a sharp, existential reflection on what it means to be young in a world on fire.

OUR DONATION CAMPAIGN IS LIVE! Click the link in our bio :) Every dollar goes to the artists helping bring this show to life.

Can’t donate? Totally fair. But maybe you know someone who can. Might we suggest:

- Parents with disposable income
- Older siblings who picked a sensible profession
- Grandparents who don’t really get what you do
but are willing to slip you $50
- That one friend in finance

It’s rough out here y’all. We still don’t have that couch. Cheese is $7. You get it.

And listen—yes, it’s weird asking for money to do a Fringe show right now. There’s a lot happening. A of things you could donate your money to . So why this?

Because the Fringe is one of the last truly open doors in Toronto theatre. It’s random, scrappy, and wildly diverse. It’s where artists you haven’t heard of—yet—get to speak loudly and honestly. It’s where communities form. And this show? It’s about that.

It’s about six young people trying to hold onto meaning, to each other, and to joy in a world moving way too fast. It’s about hope—urgent, stubborn, unpolished hope.

If that feels worth a few bucks, or a few minutes of your time to share—thank you. It means the world.

MEET THE TEAM • @elenamilo_ is CAROLINE

Elena is a Croatian-Canadian actor based in Toronto.

Her artistic passions began in training as a ballerina for 15 years, before finding true passion in the art of acting. After graduating from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2023 with a BFA in Performance Acting, Elena also began a career in film and television with roles such as ‘Maggie’ in Last Exmas (2024), and ‘Chloe’ in Stolen Dreams (2025).

She’s also performed in a wide range of theatrical roles such as ‘Eurydice’ (dir. Sarah Kitz) in Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice, and ‘Her’ in Andrew Kushnir’s The Division, staged in partnership with Tarragon Theatre (dir. Andrew Kushnir).

Elena continues her artistic exploration with an eagerness to pursue both theatre and film in the Canadian space, working with local artists and performers to uplift the rich, local artistic industry.

MEET THE TEAM • @ethan_zuchkan is ANDERS

Ethan Zuchkan is an actor and writer based in Toronto, Ontario. Since graduating from the Theatre Performance program at Toronto Metropolitan University, he has since appeared in roles such as Peter in The Howland Company’s production of “The Seagull” by Anton Chekhov, and - most recently - the role of Ben in The Highland Summer Festival’s production of “The Birds and the Bees” by Mark Crawford.

He is also a creative producer for Gooshlems, a media collective that specializes in film, online sketch comedy, podcasts and much more!

A few fun facts about Ethan: his favourite historical figure from The Classical Antiquity Period is Hannibal Barca, he has been collecting every volume of The Walking Dead comic books since he turned eleven years old, swimming pools were often a source of fear in his youth as he once believed that there were invisible sharks swimming within them, and he has never been very good at writing bios.

Having the opportunity to work with this talented cast and crew has brought so much joy to his heart! He’d also like to thank his family for always believing in him and his artistic endeavours. It means the world to him!
