Think 5 watts can't make much of a difference? Think again.

I put a 60W PowerFilm head-to-head against our 65W Off Grid Trek Solar Blanket in real-world low-light conditions.

Results:
☀️ 60W PowerFilm: 13.0W
☀️ 65W Off Grid Trek Solar Blanket: 16.2W

Although our solar blanket is rated only 8.3% higher (65W vs. 60W), it produced 24.6% more power in this low-light test.

I also tested our 300W V1 Solar Blanket, which was still charging a 52V LiFePO₄ e-bike battery at 85.3W under the same low-light conditions.

When the sun isn't perfect, voltage matters.

Watch the full comparison on YouTube and see the results for yourself!

Fire, fresh air, and a river view… hard to beat. 🔥🥩🌲
Sometimes the best meals don't come from a restaurant—they come from a campfire. These beef ribs spent the afternoon over the fire with an incredible view, and they turned out to be some of the best tasting ribs I've ever had.
Good food, good company, and the outdoors. That's what it's all about.

AOAE 2026 definitely put solar to the test.

Over the weekend, the show grounds received roughly 4" of rain, creating some of the toughest charging conditions we've ever experienced at an event.

Throughout the show, we had numerous attendees stop by our booth after their traditional folding solar panels were no longer producing enough power to keep their batteries charged.

Meanwhile, our Solar Blankets continued producing power through the rain, cloud cover, and rapidly changing weather conditions.

This is exactly why we focus on high-efficiency SunPower solar cells, higher operating voltages, and real-world performance—not just peak watt ratings measured under perfect sunshine.

Solar doesn't stop working when the sun disappears.

Watch the full video on YouTube and see the results for yourself.

🐾 The troops are ready.

We're heading to AOAE tomorrow and Mother Nature has decided to give us the perfect solar test. With heavy rain forecast for the show, we'll be demonstrating our Solar Blankets in the exact conditions most people think solar won't work.

Rain, cloud cover, smoke, haze, early mornings, late evenings—this is where voltage and efficiency matter.

If you're attending AOAE, stop by and see our Solar Blankets in action.

✔ True 24.5% efficient SunPower solar cells
✔ Performs exceptionally well in smoke, haze, overcast conditions and partial shade
✔ Charges 72V lithium batteries directly
✔ Perfect for overlanding, camping, hunting, remote work sites and emergency preparedness

In our testing, a 35Ah battery charged from 85% to 100% in approximately 45 minutes of good sunlight.
