Two stories, two completely different experiences.

Pickleback: Explores trust, boundaries, and the moments that can change everything.

One of the most real books I’ve read in a while.

Lessons From a Dead Girl explores friendship, grief, guilt, trauma, and the complicated parts of growing up. It’s the kind of story that makes you stop and think about the people you’ve loved, lost, and maybe never really understood.

If you’ve read it, you know.

Something about taking notes just scratches the brain. Reading Lessons From a Dead Girl has been a recent journey of uncovering themes of shame, guilt, abuse, and what it means to begin healing from it all.

A little different from what we normally post, but we wanted to start sharing some of the stories that inspire us.

One of those is “Lessons from a Dead Girl” by Jo Knowles. It’s a powerful story that stuck with us long after we finished reading it, and it’s a reminder of how impactful great storytelling can be.

As storytellers ourselves, we thought it’d be fun to start highlighting books and other creative works that have influenced us along the way. That’s why we acquired the rights, so that we can keep telling important stories like this one in a digestible but capturing way. Hope you enjoy this new side of the page 🙌🙌

94 Films has a different goal in mind than most production companies. Instead of chasing trends, they’re focused on creating films that stay with you. Through Fall in Love With Her and Pickleback, they’re bringing back character-driven storytelling through nostalgia. Link in bio to watch both films 🎞️
