We Strongly Condemn the Alleged Use of Fake Documents for Registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC)

All platforms supporting the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) community strongly condemn the reported incident involving the alleged use of fraudulent documents to obtain registration through the Maharashtra Medical Council’s online portal.

It is deeply concerning and disheartening to learn about such an incident. We urge all Foreign Medical Graduates to refrain from using fake certificates, forged documents, or any fraudulent means to obtain registration. Such actions may lead to serious legal consequences and can jeopardise one’s medical career.

AIMSA-FMSW has consistently worked to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Foreign Medical Graduates, advocating for:

* The demand for three FMGE attempts per year.
* Greater transparency in the FMGE examination process.
* A balanced examination framework, with a proposed distribution of 30% Easy, 50% Moderate, and 20% Difficult questions.
* Equal treatment and appropriate privileges for FMGs and Indian Medical Graduates (IMGs) during internship, as per applicable regulations.

Despite our continuous efforts to secure legitimate opportunities and fair treatment for the FMG community, incidents of this nature are deeply disappointing. Such acts can undermine the credibility of genuine FMGs who are working hard to complete their registration and establish their medical careers through lawful means.

We appeal to every FMG: Do not fall into the trap of fraudulent agents or shortcuts. Always follow the official registration procedure, submit genuine documents, and seek clarification from the concerned authorities whenever in doubt.

Let us protect the dignity of our profession, uphold medical ethics, and ensure that the genuine efforts of thousands of Foreign Medical Graduates are not overshadowed by the actions of a few.

Integrity is non-negotiable. Our fight is for the legitimate rights of FMGs, and it must always remain within the framework of law.

Congratulations to all FMGs from Gujarat!

Today marks a historic and long-awaited milestone for Foreign Medical Graduates in Gujarat.

The Government of Gujarat has taken an important decision regarding stipend for all eligible FMG interns undertaking their compulsory internship in Government Medical Colleges and GMERS Medical Colleges across Gujarat, including interns whose internships commenced from 15 December 2025, 1 June 2026 and 1 October 2026.

This is not merely a decision; it is the result of collective representation, continuous follow-up, unity and perseverance of FMG students over the years.

We sincerely express our gratitude to Hon’ble Health Minister Shri Prafulbhai Pansheriya Saheb and Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel Saheb for recognising the genuine concerns of FMG interns and supporting this historic step.

I would like to sincerely thank every FMG who stood with us, all college and institution representatives, my entire team, the AIMSA team, and every individual who contributed to this cause ,whether through efforts in the past or by standing with us throughout the present journey.

This achievement belongs to every FMG who believed that our voice deserved to be heard.

There may have been different efforts at different stages, but today, those efforts have come together to create a meaningful and historic outcome for the FMG community of Gujarat.

Heartiest congratulations to everyone. This is a victory of unity, perseverance and collective representation.

@official_aimsa @aimsa_fmsw strongly opposes the FIR reportedly filed against 35 intern doctors, including Dr Jaswant Singh Yadav.

Intern doctors have been peacefully protesting for 13 days, with 6 doctors on hunger strike from 5 days. Yet, no written assurance has been given by the Government/DME Rajasthan on their stipend.
We urge @rajcmo @bjpbhajanlal Ji @gajendrakhimsar Ji to immediately intervene.
Despite Supreme Court & NMC guidelines and their sincere service, FMG interns remain deprived of stipend.

Not Just a Farewell, but a Tribute of Gratitude 💐✨

As the tenure of Dr. Vinky Rughwani Sir, Administrator, Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC),Mumbai comes to an end, this is not merely a farewell—it is an expression of our deep gratitude and appreciation for his valuable contribution and dedicated efforts towards the medical community.

On behalf of Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) and the medical fraternity of Maharashtra and across India, we sincerely appreciate the commendable efforts undertaken by Dr. Rughwani Sir during his tenure as Administrator of MMC, particularly in addressing the concerns and facilitating the professional journey of the FMG community in Maharashtra.

During our recent interaction, we also requested the timely commencement of the internship/CRMI counselling process for the FMGE June 2026 batch and brought other important concerns of FMGs to the Council’s attention.

Despite his tenure as Administrator approaching its conclusion, Sir ensured that appropriate directions were given for the counselling process to be initiated at the earliest, while also emphasising continued support and assistance for FMGs.

This reflects his commitment towards ensuring that the concerns of medical graduates are addressed even during the transition period.

His approach, guidance, accessibility, and administrative support have been deeply valued by countless medical graduates.

We are confident that his continued guidance, support, and assistance will remain a source of strength for the medical community in the years ahead.
