Every kid deserves to dream. Every dream deserves a chance at reality ✨

SOAAR Beyond was built from resilience.

From being a first-generation college student… to becoming the first in my family to pursue medicine. I had no rule book with the hidden curriculum nor a head start. My experiences made me wonder what it would feel like if these seeds were planted early. What would our society look like?

SOAAR intends to serve in the gap of the curriculum and our youth’s exposure to success.

For the past year, I have been throughout schools in LAUSD hosting professional development workshops with high school students.

Today, we had the privilege of working with juniors and seniors at Compton High School. Students connected with public health professionals and PhD students to tackle real-world case studies impacting their own community.

This wasn’t just exposure… it was empowerment. Our goal is simple: Help students see that their lived experiences are not limitations, they are qualifications.

Huge thank you to UCLA’s Department of Epidemiology Inclusive Excellence Committee for trusting me to bring this vision to life. We had lots of fun, the students learned so much, and even earned a pizza party on us🍕

The truth is, so many of our youth have the talent, the brilliance, and the drive. What’s often missing is access. SOAAR is here to change that.

If you believe in the mission and would like to be a part, please fill out the form in @soaarbeyond bio ( bit.ly/SOAARGetInvolved) or give us a follow. This is only the beginning!

Isaiah 40:31 ✝️ “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Receiving my white coat marks the beginning of an impeccable journey. One filled with responsibility, growth, and change. Words can’t describe my gratitude but my actions will✨

One thing about my God, He never fails💛

I am blessed to announce that I will be attending Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science College of Medicine to pursue my Doctor of Medicine (MD). I am excited to continue my HBCU education and become the healthcare leader and change agent I’ve always aspired to be.
