It’s crazy to believe that this just happened 3 months ago (July 29th 2023), where you was taken from us. They say time heals all wounds but this one still stings as if it was fresh. The days sometimes are easier, and sometimes they are rougher but I continue to keep my head up constantly thinking what would O’Shae do. We continuously lift one another up because that’s what friends and family do. Your presence is missed, your goofiness is missed and your infectious smile that lights up a room is missed. The light you hold in our lives will continue to shine as it illuminates how dark this world can be. I’m missing you sooo much my brother from another mother. Please continue to shine your light on all of us. I love you bro 🙏🏽🕊️💛

To Vouge is to be free.

On July 29, 2023, O’Shae Sibley was killed while voguing at a gas station. O’Shae was a passionate dancer who found joy in artistic expression through Vogue.

Vogue, a dance born in the 1980s Ballroom Scene by Black queer and trans individuals, symbolizes freedom. Rooted in radical expression, it empowered Black queer people to resist societal discrimination.

O’Shae’s community continues to honor his legacy so Black boys can express themselves freely without fear. Hear more about his story tonight on #AmericaInBlackBET at 10/9c. by @oh_tis

My heart breaks…

I’ve already lost one brother but having to lose another within my family is unbearable. We all came to NYC and it’s just feeling like this city takes….takes…and takes from us. It’s extremely scary… Im tryna get it together but give me time…. I’m shutting down for a bit but il return. by @oh_tis
