Today marks two years without being able to pick up the phone and call you.

As I write this, with tears in my eyes, I’m also cracking up. The second post says, “If at first you don’t succeed, call Dad!” Well, that was me—only thing is, my daddy never answered his gotdamn phone!

I used to joke with him and say, “You’re my emergency contact, but you don’t answer the phone.” He would always rebut, “If you’re in an emergency, call 911, Negro!”

I’d do anything to play phone tag with you again. Anything to hear you leave me a voicemail..

I love you Big O. RIP Baby.

My father taught me a lot of lessons.

But my favorite one was how to be a fly-ass, real-ass individual.

I thought long and hard about how I wanted to honor this man this weekend, and fashion felt like the right choice this year.

One thing me and that man did was put that shit on.

Today makes me 6 years brain TUMOR 🆓
I really boohoo every year bc whew.
Here’s a lil celebratory dumpy bc I’m sick of the tears lol
