🖤 MEET THE FOUNDER 🖤

Hi! I’m Angela, from Dallas, Tx— the founder of Gravewave Fest. 👋🏻

Since you’re trusting us with your time, your support, and hopefully your presence on November 7th, I figured it was probably time I actually introduced myself and told you a little bit about the person behind all of this.

Music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I’ve gone from being the person in the crowd to working behind the scenes as a promoter, interviewing bands, running Moonlight Music Promotions, and working in live production as a stagehand. I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with so many incredible artists and people along the way, and somewhere in the middle of all of that, the idea for Gravewave Fest started growing.

I had a dream to create something of my own. A vision.

Not just another music festival.. but something that brings together the darkwave, goth, post-punk, alternative and underground music communities that I love so much. A place where you can come for a band you already love and leave obsessed with three more you had never heard before!

More than anything, I want Gravewave to feel like a community. 🖤

This first year has been a MASSIVE learning experience. 😂 Building a festival from the ground up is exciting, stressful, occasionally chaotic, and a hell of a lot more work than I ever imagined! But seeing this thing that once existed only as an idea in my head slowly become a reality has made every bit of it worth it. 🥹

And I couldn’t do any of this without the incredible team behind Gravewave, the artists who believed in what we’re building, and every single person who has bought a ticket, shared a post, passed out a flyer, told a friend, or supported us in any way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🖤🙏🏻

November 7th is only the beginning.

My hope is that years from now, we’ll be able to look back at the very first Gravewave Fest and say:

“That’s where it all started.” 🖤🥲

Thank you for being here at the beginning.

I can’t wait to see what we build together!! 🦇✨

I wanna dive, dive into the concrete ocean in the night, night. Wind beneath my wings, hope I can fly, fly. Finally I’m a star look in the sky…

Panther Island Pavilion,
Fort Worth Tx

A little recap of our first time celebrating Fourth of July at Fort Worth’s Fourth at Panther Island. I really enjoyed this event.. we had a great view of the fireworks and there were tons of vendors and we even got a whole case of free C2 energy drinks! LOL Definitely recommend checking out this event next year if you’re not sure what to do.. it’s FREE!

Also can we talk about the crispy video quality.. those fireworks look immaculate!! 🤩

Flashback to when I saw Redder Moon, Night Ritualz and Deceits at AM/FM in Dallas! Unfortunately I missed most of 60juno’s set.. I was outside cooling off because it was incredibly hot 🥵 but it was an amazing show nonetheless and had so much fun with friends!!

Thanks to @distortedheartbeat for putting together this awesome lineup!!

Southside Ballroom, Dallas Tx
METRIC

I’ve been wanting to see Metric live for so long but always missed them! I started following them after the Scott Pilgrim movie came out and I became obsessed with the song Black Sheep. It was an amazing show, and my crew helped set it up as well! They killed it, as always.. 🤘🏻
