We’re beyond excited to welcome Dead On A Sunday as a headliner alongside main support NITE at Gravewave Fest 2026! But these two bands share more than just a spot on this year’s lineup — they have a history that spans years of touring, collaboration, and friendship.

What started as a shared stage in Dallas has evolved into a musical partnership between two standout acts in the modern darkwave scene.

Dead On A Sunday and NITE first crossed paths in 2023 at CheapSteaks in Deep Ellum, Dallas. The connection would eventually take both bands across the country, joining forces for an East Coast tour in 2024, followed by a West Coast run in 2025.

But their creative chemistry didn’t end on the road.

Following their tours, the bands took their collaboration into the studio, resulting in two tracks that brought their distinct sounds together. NITE wrote Last Chance with Dead On A Sunday in mind, while DOAS frontman Ross transformed Rnaway from a rock anthem into a darkwave synthpop track. Both songs were released together as a special vinyl single.

The collaboration came full circle in August 2026, when the bands performed both tracks together live in Denver, along with a special cover of Duran Duran’s Come Undone. They have also performed Ross’ cover of When In Rome’s The Promise together on tour before.

Now, the two bands are set to reunite at GRAVEWAVE FEST 2026, bringing their shared history and musical chemistry to San Antonio on November 7.

Could fans be treated to another special collaboration? Only time will tell. 👀🖤

🦇 GRAVEWAVE ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: DEAD ON A SUNDAY 🦇

It’s time to meet the artists of Gravewave Fest. You can catch Dead on a Sunday headlining the fest! 🪦🖤

The singular vision of vocalist, songwriter, and producer Ross Ryan, Dead On A Sunday blends darkwave, post-punk, goth-adjacent rock, and emotionally charged alternative music into a sound that feels both nostalgic and distinctly their own.

Emerging from Denver in 2022 with the debut album Strange Days, the project quickly built a devoted following — but things took an unexpected turn when Ross’ mashup of Mr.Kitty’s “After Dark” and Blink-182’s “Dammit” went viral. Fans began comparing his deep vocals to Bob Belcher from Bob’s Burgers, and thus “Bob-core” was born.

Rather than shy away from it, Ross embraced the phenomenon, turning that unexpected viral moment into part of Dead On A Sunday’s identity — a perfect combination of darkness, vulnerability, nostalgia, and humor.

Since then, Dead On A Sunday has continued to grow into a force in modern dark alternative music, releasing Cold Red Sea, the massively streamed Undercover collection, and 2025’s cinematic and emotionally devastating In Memoriam, while headlining and selling out shows across the country.

Fully independent and unapologetically DIY, Dead On A Sunday has built a fiercely loyal community around music that isn’t afraid to be dark, emotional, weird, and profoundly human.

🖤 MEET THE FOUNDER 🖤

Hi! I’m Angela, from Dallas, Tx— the founder of Gravewave Fest. 👋🏻

Since you’re trusting us with your time, your support, and hopefully your presence on November 7th, I figured it was probably time I actually introduced myself and told you a little bit about the person behind all of this.

Music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I’ve gone from being the person in the crowd to working behind the scenes as a promoter, interviewing bands, running Moonlight Music Promotions, and working in live production as a stagehand. I’ve had the opportunity to meet and work with so many incredible artists and people along the way, and somewhere in the middle of all of that, the idea for Gravewave Fest started growing.

I had a dream to create something of my own. A vision.

Not just another music festival.. but something that brings together the darkwave, goth, post-punk, alternative and underground music communities that I love so much. A place where you can come for a band you already love and leave obsessed with three more you had never heard before!

More than anything, I want Gravewave to feel like a community. 🖤

This first year has been a MASSIVE learning experience. 😂 Building a festival from the ground up is exciting, stressful, occasionally chaotic, and a hell of a lot more work than I ever imagined! But seeing this thing that once existed only as an idea in my head slowly become a reality has made every bit of it worth it. 🥹

And I couldn’t do any of this without the incredible team behind Gravewave, the artists who believed in what we’re building, and every single person who has bought a ticket, shared a post, passed out a flyer, told a friend, or supported us in any way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🖤🙏🏻

November 7th is only the beginning.

My hope is that years from now, we’ll be able to look back at the very first Gravewave Fest and say:

“That’s where it all started.” 🖤🥲

Thank you for being here at the beginning.

I can’t wait to see what we build together!! 🦇✨

🦇 GRAVEWAVE ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: NITE🦇

It’s time to meet the artists of Gravewave Fest. ⚰️

Big, dark, dance music. Guitars, synthesizers, and dueling twin vocalists combine to make the songs you’ll dance to for the next thirty years.

NITE is a Texas-based alternative band bridging the gap between dark nostalgia and modern electronic pop. Inspired by the driving energy of Darkwave, Synthpop, and Post-Punk, twin brothers Myles and Kyle Mendes craft a sound that is both moody and cinematic.

The band’s recent singles showcase their knack for blending melancholic melodies with dancefloor-ready beats. Tracks like “All Your Pain” and “Easy” recently captured viral attention on social media, landing coveted spots on Spotify’s editorial playlists like Dark & Gothic and Darkwave. Having captivated audiences across North America and Europe with their high-energy, magnetic live sets, NITE continues to illuminate the darker corners of the human experience

🦇 GRAVEWAVE ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: PANIC PRIEST🦇

It’s time to meet the artists of Gravewave Fest. ⚰️

Panic Priest is the darkwave project of Chicago-based “dark crooner” Jack Armondo, channeling death, sex, and doomed romance into haunting anthems built for the dancefloor. Blending atmospheric synths, soaring guitars, driving beats, and commanding baritone vocals, Panic Priest delivers infectious midnight melodies with equal parts emotional intensity and dark glamour.

Underground favorites like “Lonely City,” “She’s My Guy,” and his darkwave-meets-Italo-disco cover of “Self Control” have become goth club staples worldwide. Panic Priest has toured and shared stages with acts including NITE, Light Asylum, Vision Video, ACTORS, and Twin Tribes, with appearances at Cold Waves, Dark Force Fest, Absolution, Terminus, and Verboden. His track “Nighthunter” was also featured in James Wan’s horror film Malignant.

His latest album, Once Wild (2025), expands his sound into glam, Italo disco, ’80s New Wave, and cinematic goth while keeping the brooding intensity at the heart of Panic Priest.
