OSA has a new meaning! ⚡️

OHIO SWEEP ACADEMY 🧹🧹🧹

OSA won the 100m hurdles in all 3 divisions at the OHSAA State Track and Field Tournament!! So proud of this group, they battle every day in practice and this is the result!

Anna Wile - D1 - 13.72 🥇
Zoey Caldwell - D2 - 14.28 🥇
Isabel Evans - D3 - 13.95 🥇

@_annawile made major improvements since the state meet last year. She improved by almost a full second from 14.66 to 13.72! She’s only a junior, she’ll be back next year!

@_zoey_caldwell_ had a major improvement as well! In the prelim she ran 14.21, that’s almost a second faster than what she ran last year (15.14). She will be at Ohio University this fall!

@isabel.evanss now has two gold medals in the 100m hurdles, one for division 2 and one for division 3! Her time of 13.95 ranks her 24th all time in Ohio! She will be at the University of Iowa this fall!

OSA had a first! ⚡️

We coached our first Masters Athlete! Krista was visiting from Connecticut and wanted to get in a session to assist on her pursuit of going for gold in 2027. Krista is ranked 4th in the world in the 80m hurdles in the W55-59 age group. She just started hurling at the age of 49! She was great to work with and we look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together next season. 📈 by @ohiospeedacademy

Fall Training part 4: We love Hill Sprints! 🤠

Back on the hill, building power and capacity with every rep. We’re focused on strong pushes, active arms, and holding our posture as the reps get tough. The goal is to carry that same intent back to the track.

Resisted runs teach athletes to apply more force while maintaining their posture and angles. When the resistance comes off, the goal is to carry that power through the entire drive phase.

A lot can happen when you just keep showing up!

From training alone during COVID, to finding @ohiospeedacademy my senior year, to becoming a D1 athlete, to injuries, doubts, All-American honors, conference titles, and eventually standing on an NCAA podium.

There are so many people behind the athlete I am today. My high school coaches, my jumps coach, my OSA coaches and teammates, my college coaches and teammates, and my family and friends have all played a part in this journey. ❤️

I think my younger self would be pretty proud of how far we’ve come.

And the best part? I’m not done yet! 🤍
