✨UPDATED DATE FOR OUR POSTPONED EVENT!✨

Join us for our inaugural digital arts event, the first of many! We’re kicking things off with a Digital Photography Street Walk 8/13 starting at 7:00pm at monument square in downtown Troy. Grab your weirdest, most unique, or simply favorite digital camera or camcorder and join the Ohmies for a walk through Troy.

Our goal is simple: capture the city through your own digital lens of creativity.

All digital cameras are welcome: DSLRs, point-and-shoots, action cams, pocket cameras, vintage digitals, and even Nintendo Game Boy Cameras. Whatever you shoot with, we want to see your perspective.

After the walk, we’ll host a follow-up editing and photo share meetup (date TBD), where anyone who wants to participate can bring their favorite images, share their work, talk about their process, and connect with fellow artists.

This is an open-format community event, no experience required!
Come explore, experiment, meet new people, and have fun.

We can’t wait to see Troy through your eyes. by @ohm_518

Saturday is coming up fast, make sure to get your tickets and get to the venue early to catch sets from our supporting artists. Both @raidosounds and @devcoll have been instrumental in building OHM from the ground up, helping shape the organization both behind the scenes and on the dancefloor.

Raido, OHM’s Graphic Designer, Creative Director, and Brand Designer, has played a key role in establishing the visual identity and growth of the organization since relocating to Albany and immersing himself in the local music community. Raido is a Costa Rican electronic music producer, DJ, and multidisciplinary designer based in Albany, New York.
Having lived and performed across Mexico and Spain, his diverse background heavily informs his current output. By integrating organic field recordings into raw club rhythms, he builds, percussion-driven soundscapes that moves between genres.
Recent releases like the Eco-Tek EP on Body Method, Devastation sounds on Pollen, and his contribution to ETA45MINS’ RavePro compilation balance industrial aesthetics with heavy dancefloor energy, focusing strictly on direct, driving grooves.

DRC serves as OHM’s Founder, President, and one of its Creative Directors. His lifelong love of electronic music was sparked in Montreal’s club scene making its way to his home in Northern New York, where he spent years spinning music at parties, sharing new music discoveries and developing his craft. As a DJ, DRC favors his set ups overly complex, and utilizes a blend of dj tools to support a style of mixing that is tailored towards smooth, subtle transitions strongly influenced by the club sound of Montreal. As a former roofer and shipping container builder, he leans into an industrial sound that makes you wonder if you should be wearing a hard hat.

Don’t miss the chance to catch two artists whose creative vision and dedication helped lay the foundation for OHM. Tickets on sale now via the RA link in our bio, or find the link on our website via the event flyer in the OHM calendar.

We can’t wait to see so many of your faces grooving on the dancefloor this weekend! by @ohm_518

Part of OHM’s mission is to facilitate and nurture connections with electronic music, electronic arts, and the vibrant creative energy that exists throughout the region. Too often, we are at the whims of the social media overlords who decide what is presented to us. It’s a challenge to stay up to date with what’s going on, and let’s be honest, we’re all better off experiencing more IRL events and less doomscrolling.

With that in mind, we are incredibly excited to share our community calendar at www DOT ohm518 DOT com SLASH calendar with all of you (link in bio). The calendar is meant to grow into a one-stop online hub where you, community members, artists, and organizers alike can stay in sync with local events, share and promote what you are creating, and build a supportive electronic music and arts community together.

Here’s how it works:
First, go to OHM518 . com
1. Once you arrive at our home page, click on the calendar button in the top left corner.
2. Under upcoming events, you can find our navigation bar with options to search by date, location (desktop only), or OHM presented events.
3. Select the “Submit an event” button to add an event of your own.
4. On the submission page, add your event’s flyer, location, date etc, and submit for approval.
5. Don’t forget to click the donate button if you appreciate our work and want to help support our mission.

As a community-centered service, anyone can submit new events to the calendar. All submissions must be electronic music or digital arts-focused. The OHM team will review community event submissions before they appear on the calendar to ensure relevance and basic quality control. We will not allow visibly AI-generated flyer art on the calendar, as we like to emphasize and facilitate real experiences with real people and support artists.

Huge thanks to Zach Pennachi, our brilliant website designer, for sharing his creativity and technical savvy and helping develop and evolve our digital space into something truly collaborative and built for the community.

Let us know if you have feedback or feature requests.

We hope to see you out at an event soon!

Meet our next headlining artist: Sobolik, a Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, promoter, and label curator; pushing the boundaries of contemporary underground electronic music.

With a deeply technical approach to production and an intuitive ear for sound design, they build rhythmic, ethereal soundscapes that move fluidly across genres while maintaining a distinct sonic identity. Their sets and productions balance experimental detail with undeniable dancefloor energy, creating moments that feel hypnotic, futuristic yet oddly nostalgic all at once, and impossible not to move to.

Describing themselves as a “digital forager,” Sobolik digs through curious textures, fragmented samples, and unconventional sounds, reshaping them into bouncy, percussive, and otherworldly club tracks. Their work continues to carve out a distinct space within contemporary underground electronic music.

Ahead of June 27th, we highly recommend diving into Final Drive, Sobolik’s latest release with George-i. Built on rumbling basslines, driving rhythms, intricate sound design, and relentless dancefloor momentum, the release serves as the perfect introduction to their sound. Each track balances meticulous production with raw energy, delivering mesmerizing grooves and heavyweight low-end pressure designed to be experienced on a proper sound system.

Whether you’re joining us on the dancefloor or listening from afar, take some time to stream Final Drive on your favorite platform, support the artists, and prepare for the immersive, high-energy journey Sobolik will be bringing to the night
