“It can’t be that hard to start a company, right?”

Wrong.

I always knew it would be hard work but I didn’t know that it would be insane dedication, blood-sweat-and tears (literally), and that everything would take much longer and cost much more than I could ever imagine.

And right when I feel like quitting, I reach a new milestone that makes everything worth it.

Visiting the @inyounskin factory in South Korea and being able to document & experience the entire process was worth every hardship. Thank you to my Mark&Teams family for everything & @justbelieve92 for capturing THE moments.

We’re almost there. Almost to the finish line that’s also the damn starting line.

So - to the #sensitiveskin community, to the countless people with #psoriasis who have sent me messages, and my dear friends who struggle with #eczema - this one’s for you.

Cheers to the “Finish-Starting” line. 🤍

To have an incredibly close relationship with a grandparent is lucky. To have had the love I did with my grandparents, is beyond that.

My grandpa settled into America before my immediate family and I did. And for those who can understand, being an immigrant back in the 90s required a lot of work. He still paved the way.

My grandpa’s dementia began almost 10 years ago but he never forgot this grandchildren. And we will never forget his car console filled to the brim with candy, our trips to eat fast food (bc our mothers never allowed it), and all the little but impactful things he did to make our lives more cheerful (ESPECIALLY after hours at Kumon - IYKYK)

@iamsooyounlee and I had the honor of taking care of our grandpa and grandma while they lived in LA a few years ago. I feel regretful that I was upset on some Sundays that I had to go do what I considered “family duties” back then. Now I’m beyond grateful to have been able to spend the extra time with him. To do the little things. To eat together. To laugh together. Granted - a lot of our time together ended up in the hospital. But nonetheless, precious time together.

It feels kinda funny to write an IG caption about my grandpa - who could never understand what we did for a living (lol) but it’s almost like my eulogy for the man who has loved me most in this life.

To the man who helped raise me and my siblings, show me the importance of The Little Things (like a sneaky KFC run before family dinner), be the reason why I still speak Korean to this day, and the reason behind our family’s faith in God - may you rest in peace. ✌️ (his favorite sign)

We’ve got grandma now. You take your rest. 🤍

Consider this your sign to stop waiting for a trip to Korea or a “special occasion” to get your beauty treatments! ✨

Went to @thethingswedo new WeHo spot for PRFM microneedling and a full face of Botox. A few things worth knowing before you book:
• PRFM uses your own platelets, so there’s nothing foreign going in.
• Ask about doing your neck and décolleté at the same time - because the neck always knows.
• Request @michellechinnp she consults like she’s actually invested in the outcome.
• Their numbing cream is top notch (lol), which is saying something from a person who asks for laughing gas at every treatment in Korea.
• Downtime: one evening of looking unhinged, gone by morning.
Payoff: a week later my skin was doing the thing.
