YOU NEED SUGAR, WE NEED FUNDING. We’re slinging sweet treats and COFFEE this Saturday from 9am-1pm at the Cisco Post Office. All proceeds go to supporting independent film in rural Utah.

Come to Me Everyone, a documentary about the folk art community in Cisco, Utah, has been selected for @desertscapeiff in St George. Our screening takes place April 3rd, and we need your help to get our director @shaffernickel to the Q&A.

Documentary Alert! In Come to Me Everyone, our dear friend @shaffernickel takes us on a journey exploring folk art & America’s pursuit of the roadside attraction, with Cisco serving as a central theme.

We’re hosting free screenings both in Moab & Cisco. Join us at Star Hall in Moab on Friday, April 3rd at 7:30PM & at the Cisco Artist Residency on Saturday, April 4th at 8PM. Director Q&A to follow!

Moab, WOW! Thanks to all that joined for our Artist Talk with @racheltoups !! Over 40 of you listened as Rachel shared their experience as our Fall 2025 Artist-in-Residence. From overcoming writer’s block, to undulating along the Joy-Despair Continuum, to a thrilling physics lesson in playing the jugs, we were transported to Cisco via song & word.

Please join us in welcoming our 2025 Held Horizon resident, Rachel Toups! Rachel is a musician and poet working in the genre of folk music.

In Rachel’s own words: “I’m drawn to the high desert, and Cisco specifically, because of the deep sense of time and space embedded in the landscape. Artists are tuning forks and conduits, and I hope to tap into both the natural and human histories of this place, listening for stories that want to be woven into my work. The geology and soundscapes of the high desert—and the Colorado Plateau in particular—have long fascinated me. In my work as an interpreter, I specialize in astronomy and geology, which has given me perspective on what makes this region so unique. My goal is always to help connect others with that sense of awe. My intention here is to work on music, however if the energy of the place leads me elsewhere, I will gladly follow whatever threads I find.” taken in Cisco, Utah by @ohno.cisco
