Almost 20 years ago to the day, I stepped into my first Pilates class during undergrad at the student union. It was free, the room was packed, there were no props…just the practice. I loved the way it made my body feel and I fell in love with it. The following year, I took an 8 month internship out of state and bought my mat and a Windsor Pilates DVD with me because I was that obsessed with it (pre YouTube era). For the past 20 years, Pilates has always been a practice I’ve returned to time and time again through my fitness and wellness journey (literally returned to life iykyk), because simply put….the shit works; and WELL. Early 2025, I returned again, and decided I wanted to teach it one day.

Fast forward to August 23rd, 2026,
I’m now a certified Classical Pilates + Sculpt instructor - I was certified by one of the best in the industry @junglejohanna and I’m still pinching myself that I made this a reality. This was by far one of the hardest things I’ve ever accomplished and the entire experience was life changing; and it’s just the beginning. I’m coming out of this past weekend with some of the most incredible women I’ve ever met in my life, that I now call friends, a new skill and excitement for all that I have planned to get started teaching (and beyond 😉). It’s never too late because what is for you, WILL NEVER MISS YOU 🤞🏾
