i am so proud of us. i will never forget the unwavering sense of camaraderie, care and collective power from yesterday. the way the morning sun broke through the clouds and gave us its blessing.

we stood steadfast in the light and we took the bridge. at a time when cops from all over the state came to work overtime to prevent something exactly like this from happening.

what a glorious day it was to be in struggle and solidarity with my comrades. to be supported by neighbors and strangers. to live out my fast and furious fantasy. to honor our martyrs. to put our bodies on the line for a free Palestine.

gratitude and love. until we're all free.

yesterday... we won our court case! i'm feeling so much joy and grief, relief and dread, clarity and confusion, power and hopelessness, exhaustion and resilience— all! at! once!

above all, i am feeling so grateful to the 78, our legal team, our defense committee, our care team, our media team, our cooks, our artists, our supporters, my loved ones, and everyone else who showed up for us. like folks have said, this is a win not just for the 78, but for the thousands who have supported us over the past few months. THANK YOU!!

that solidarity and the sacrifices we've made for each other are what i will hold onto. while this legal battle is over, the genocide that we stood against in november continues. so like @bb78solidarity said, "We claim this as a victory, and an opportunity to renew our solidarity with Palestine." we must continue to refuse and resist. to commit, commit, commit.

onwards and towards a free palestine. until liberation and return. until all empires fall. by @ojasno

made hong baos for palestine as we enter the new year

🍉🐉🧧🌱✨

the dragon is the only zodiac that can walk on land, swim across oceans, fly through the skies, and travel between dimensions. it appears at critical moments and is here to shepherd us through periods of deep transformation.

the last time it was in our presence was 60 years ago in 1964, when the civil rights act was passed— ending segregation and supposedly ushering us into a modern era where everyone is equal. this time around, the yang-wood dragon reminds us to reject all liberal reforms, continue demanding for what we truly want, and seek liberation not from the government or the word of law, but from and with each other.

the militant and steadfast spirit of the dragon is here to help us take a stand, remain firm in our bare minimum calls for a ceasefire, and fight for a truly liberated Palestine. its yang-wood energy keeps our visions rooted in the urgency of the moment, while planting seeds for the growth and rebuilding that will come afterwards.

may we all commit to this journey, step into our collective power, and move towards a new world together.
until we're all free.

1️⃣ the bottom says 光復巴勒斯坦 (gwong1 fuk6 ba1 lak6 si1 tan2) which is free palestine in canto and THAT'S the new gong hay fat choi!

2️⃣ 世界人民大团结万岁 (sai3 gai3 jan4 man4 dai6 tyun4 git3 man6 seoi3) "long live the solidarity of the peoples of the world!"

from Palestine to Turtle Island. From Haiti to Hawai'i. from West Papua to Philippines. from Hong Kong to Dzungarstan & Altishahr. from Myanmar to Tibet. from Kashmir to Artsakh. from Sudan to Tigray. from Congo to Western Sahara... and BEYOND!!

long live international solidarity and death to ALL empires.

3️⃣ common blessing for 壽 (sau6) or longevity.

long live the intifada.
long live Palestine.
eternal glory to our martyrs.
may they live forever in our hearts and struggle.

for black august this year (aside from 75jason), i studied and made zines about what i learned!

🖤all power thru the people🖤
(the bigger one) is about ashanti alston, black anarchism, ways to make revolution, and what it takes to live fully and win.

🖤all power to the people🖤
(the cute tiny one) is about a documentary made by an afro chinese(!) black panther on the impacts of cointelpro on the black power movement.

my goal is to share what i learned and to inspire others to dig into these materials! im selling them only together, because if you swipe and read more, you’ll find that they’re actually very interconnected.

come find me at @sfzinefest this weekend on sunday 9/6 or DM me if interested. $10-15 sliding + $3 shipping.

the first one is a zine of my reflections on ANARCHIST PANTHER, the recently released collection of writings from ashanti alston, a former member of the black panther party, black liberation army, and critical resistance(!). ive been increasingly interested in anarchism and this book has been on my radar, so it was the purrfect time to study from a former political prisoner who helped build and shape the black anarchist political tradition.

the second one is about ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE, a documentary about the rise and fall of the black panther party by lee lew-lee, an afro chinese(!!!) former panther. i came across this by chance while reading joy james’s airbrushing the revolution for the sake of abolition (teaaaa). the mention of a CHINESE panther piqued my interest, so i found it online and watched it. he dove into cointelpro and its impact on the BPP, so there’s a lot of incredible archival footage and interviews with political prisoners such as mumia, mutulu shakur, safiya bukhari, leonard peltier, and many others, along with former cia intelligence officers, attorney generals, etc. A WHOOOLE GAG!

in the process of making these zines, i realized these two materials were more connected than i thought and were in fact great companion pieces to each other. one attributed the fall of the panthers to cointelpro, while the other calls cointelpro a SCAPEGOAT and instead shines a light on organizational and social dynamics.

this weekend i went down to san diego on kumeyaay land to table at a zine fest hosted by @radicalhistoryclub @hellobarkada @lunchatthepark at the @chicanopark_museum ❤️‍🔥

it was important for me to go in solidarity with the prairieland defendants and to help raise funds and awareness for their case.

when zines are being criminalized, i feel extra responsibility as a zinemaker to show up, carry on the struggle, and refuse to let repression further isolate us. i truly believe every zine fest should be talking about this. we need to come together and make clear that zines are not a crime. there are no good zines or bad zines, we protect them all especially the ones making revolutionary ideas accessible.

but this is not a fight just about zines. it’s about free speech and the right to protest. and if we remember the original reason why the defendants were targetted, it’s also the fight against detention, imprisonment, policing, militarization, borders, and this fascist, authoritarian US empire.

on this day, i met lots of lovely people and raised $298 for @free.des.revol @dfwsupportcommittee and their loved ones. thank u to everyone who bought a zine, and thank u to the organizers & community for sharing space and coming out! i think collectively they’re facing hundreds of thousands in legal fees and have a long way to go in their case, so we have work to do.

solidarity forever with des, the other prairieland defendants, the minneapolis 15, other political prisoners, all prisoners, and everyone fighting for a better world ❤️‍🔥

we raised $1116 for @ccedla 🖤 thank u everyone who bought a cut fruit zine. i don’t take a single dollar for granted, esp in this economy, so i deeply appreciate the support. may our cut fruit be sweet and loving, may we find individual healing in collective organizing, may our chinatowns be protected, may our elders and communities grow old in safety and dignity.

im tabling this saturday 7/11 @onzine.tv at @medicinefornightmares from 1-6pm. come through and say hi!

im also tabling in san diego the following weekend on saturday 7/18 with @radicalhistoryclub @hellobarkada and @lunchatthepark 🖤 this one im extremely excited for because it is a whole ass zine fair specifically raising funds and awareness for the prairieland defendants @dfwsupportcommittee @free.des.revol

if you don’t know, they’re a group of mostly anarchists who were collectively sentenced to over 100 years in prison for a noise demo they did outside of a ICE detention center. the state basically used anti-terrorism frameworks to criminalize not just their dissent but their anti-fascist ideology to the fullest extent. and des revol, one of them, was sentenced to 30 years for having zines and he wasn’t even at the demo. anyway, i haven’t seen the zine world meet this moment of state repression with much solidarity or action, so i feel called to go, support, and meet others. 100% of my proceeds will go towards the noncooperating defendants 🖤

zines are not a crime. protesting is not a crime. anarchism is not a crime. antifascism is not a crime. fuck ice. fuck the police. fuck the judges. fuck this fascist government. fuck them all and free them all.

7/9 UPDATE: we raised $1116 for @ccedla 🖤 receipt in the next post.

I KNOW… I can’t believe I’m participating in diaspora discourse either. It’s so corny, but my parents have been emotionally wrecking me this week, which gave me the perfect push to finish AND the courage to finally share this zine.

About two years ago, I started jotting down notes in my phone after seeing my parents to remember and process my time with them. It really hit me how dysfunctional we were, especially in contrast to the relationships that I was cultivating in my own life, where care and mutual respect are the norm. With them, it’s… not cute and we are so far from that. To the point where I’m obviously not out to them, and they also don’t know where I live or what I do. I can’t hide, can’t shrink, and I can’t pretend much longer. Things are feeling untenable and something needs to shift. The fantasies of what could be are not enough, the illusions of repair are fading.

This zine is an exploration of language, of learning my mother tongue, of finding my voice and naming what needs to be said. Everything I want to say about it is in the slides. The point I want to reiterate and uplift is the love and solidarity I have for anyone navigating similar shame, grief, longing, and heartbreak… especially in this moment, on this day, during this month….

I see you and I support you however you chose to navigate this mess. May our cut fruit be sweet, juicy, tender, and overflowing with love one day.

🍉🍊🍇🍋🍏🍓🍑🍒🫐🥭

Update: If you want a copy, DM me… $10-15 per zine + shipping. Fundraising for @ccedla ❤️‍🩹 More info in my stories. by @ojasno

happy early may day!!! new zine out for hot bitches who hate their bosses 🧨

never forget people were shot down by the police so that we could have an 8-hour work day. never forget those who sacrificed their lives so that we can have our weekends. never forget the anarchists who agitated and organized the labor movement and were killed for it. never forget may day is more than just fighting for better jobs. may day is abolishing the system of racial capitalism that prioritizes profit over people, billionaires over workers, and endless fucking war$$$

may day is international working class solidarity and that means standing with workers of EVERY KIND, EVERY WHERE: waged and unwaged, the gig workers and sex workers, undocumented and criminalized, those imprisoned, and especially those we don’t see in the global south but make our day-to-day lives possible in the heart of empire.

also may day is EVERY DAY!!!

my favorite part in making this was reading through the trial speeches of the 8 haymarket martyrs, what fucking icons!! and learning about lucy fucking parsons!!! a formerly enslaved black anarchist woman led the first may day march in this country!!!!!! PAY YR RESPECTS TO THE ANARCHISTS!! if u don’t know, look it up now!!

or u can get a zine from me at @santarosazinefest this saturday where i will be tabling! or find me at the @oaklandsinfronteras march tomorrow! or DM if you want me to mail u one :) $10 each or whatever

see yall out there tmr ❤️‍🔥 by @ojasno
