A month ago I started this fundraiser to help save my archive.

$1,272 has been raised. Thank you to everyone who has contributed, shared, or sent a message. It has helped me feel that I am not doing this alone. 🔗 in bio

I’ve been quiet because I’ve been exhausted. I moved homes and storage units again, carrying my work through apartments, studios, storage units, hard drives, and cloud accounts.

The cost is not only financial. It is the labor of packing, moving, storing, finding, and caring for the evidence of a life’s work.
My archive has survived a crashed hard drive, flooding, years of storage, and multiple moves. It is still here, but it is still at risk.

The original goal is $7,300. $6,028 remains.
Funds support data recovery, storage, organization, physical media, writing, research, and time to develop my archival practice.

I want to make the documentation breathe.

Thank you for helping me keep going. by @okaynickay

Help Save my Archive

In urgent need of digital storage space + professional organization.

For 10 years I've worked to develop my art portfolio, investing priceless amounts of time, energy, and finance.

I’m raising $2,400 to begin caring for over 1 TB of performance work and documentation.

Your contribution helps make physical + digital space for the files, objects, research, and writing that hold this work.

$2,400 to start. $7,300 is the full goal.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the fundraising campaign so far. We’re doing alright!! 🔗 in bio 🔗

The immediate risk of losing materials has been addressed, although digital recovery and organization are still ongoing. Now that the process is more stable, I’m shifting attention toward the physical archive and the research.

It’s a significant amount of material to work through: marketing, reviews, photographs, negatives, documents, notebooks, prints, objects, and other physical records that have accumulated over the years.

The next phase is about getting these materials properly stored, organized, documented, and accessible.

I’m continuing the fundraiser with $1,500 as the next funding goal, within the larger $7,300 project.

This next stage will support physical storage and preservation.

The focus is shifting from preventing further loss after the storage flooding to developing the archive.

I’ll be sharing more from the process as I move through the material and begin to see what’s there. by @okaynickay
