It’s that time of year again 💃 welcome to my last looks 2025 mentorship submission post !! 🥳

The million dollar question again ! Why would I want to be apart of the last looks 2025 mentorship program ??
Oh I haven’t introduced myself to those who don’t know me !!! I’m Abigail / Abi ! I am a makeup artist in Los Angeles, California ! ( more about me later )

Last year I was given the opportunity to be apart of the 2024 last looks mentorship program and was paired with the incredible Kerrin Jackson @somemonsterism who is not only a phenomenal artist that is always blowing my mind with her talent is also the kindest human being ever and has helped me more than I could express with not only my technical side of makeup but confidence and being an artist !

The mentorship program not to be odd but was the highlight of my year Kerrin taught me everything and more I could have asked for ! So why would I want to apply again ?

Truth be told I need a lot of practice
and I have a few goals that are “big” like being in local 706 ; still working towards !
To being able to makeup design for films and shows I love to watch and have inspired me ;working with Kenny Ortega on a production like High School Musical to working with Ryan Murphy I love the whole world of series he has created.
To most recently I have loved going to the theater and seeing Wicked and A Complete Unknown I was so enthralled of all these films I have listed and series that I would love to create that for others you know , so why not take the opportunity to be mentored by someone that is actively pretty much doing what I am working towards one day ??

I am listener of the last looks podcast and absolutely love hearing everyone on the podcast I feel so seen and understood and so inspired I have honestly listened to every episode more than once some a lot of times I absolutely really love the community and would love to be mentored by anyone ! Just getting the invaluable experience of being mentored is such a gift I have tried to hopefully express in this post I would just love the experience of being able to honestly do it again with someone I admire literally everyone by @okokabii

Hii this is my official submission for the last looks mentorship !

To answer the million dollar question ; Why would I like to be mentored ? Not to sound too cliché however it is a dream , and something that I know at this point in time will benefit my career and my confidence as an artist. I’m Abigail and I am based in LA ; a few of my goals in the industry are to be a local 706 member , become head of the makeup department (eventually) for Ryan Murphy productions among other projects; get producing credits , makeup designer, run a lab and eventually own a lab.

(I know a lot ) Last year I graduated from Cinema Makeup School’s complete track program and since then doing self projects ; I have in the recent couple years figured out I love prosthetics makeup and special effect makeup I have not always been doing it ; to learn from someone who has been doing this and in the position that I would like to be in is truly amazing. I am a listener of the last looks podcast and love when everyone comes on I learn so much and would love the opportunity to learn more from them !

10/6/2023 Mitch Rowland Come June the album🪩💌🫶🏼 at the Troubadour

Unbelievable performance again; thank you giant record again for allowing me to attend🫶🏼 it meant the world to me and more to be apart of this night💌 also got introduced to Wayne Faler’s incredible music

The first time I ever heard a record co written by Mitch was in 2017 and also it was the first time I heard him play along with Sarah; Sign of the Times; from that moment on anything and everything Mitch and Sarah would play on became my bible ; hs1-hs3 has been albums that changed the game for me, and now come June has been added to that list thank you Mitch and Sarah for everything again💌 the most magical night 🫶🏼 and band 💌cannot wait for tour by @okokabii
