Fearmaxing with my camera 📸

My guide said he’s been going up here for 40 years and this was the first time he’s ever been scared on the mesa. I really know how to pick my days 😅

@sonyalpha A1ii on an interval timer with a 13” exposure time. It was pitch black out so I had to focus on a tiny light from a house way off in the distance. Shooting in these conditions is definitely a challenge. I’ve never used a lightning trigger, because I’ve heard mixed reviews so the interval timer usually works best for me. Hope that helps for those who were curious. taken in Monument Valley by @olderelder

My favorite little fighter pilots, hummingbirds. I was testing out the new @sonyalpha 100-400mm f4.5 lens and thought these guys would be the perfect subject to test the reach and speed of this lens. Safe to say I’m very happy with how these turned out 📸

Shot on @sonyalpha A1ii + 100-400mm f4.5. When shooting these birds, pre capture has become such a very valuable feature (it really feels like cheating 😂). I’m also enjoying pre capture for handheld lighting photos…..more on that soon ⚡️👀⚡️

Genuinely the lighting in Lapland is some of the best I’ve ever seen. The colors pop and sky glows for hours. If you’re lucky the lights will dance above your head🪩 🕺🏼

🔑 Secrets out, they are certified big dawgs.

Such an amazing time watching and crewing for this team as they tackled 480 miles running nonstop from LA to Vegas. Truly inspiring!! They pushed through everything that was thrown their way and you could probably hear their laughter from a mile away.

It’s always amazing to see what people are capable of when they set their minds to something. Most people would think everyone was crazy and or stupid for willingly doing this, but these are the adventures where lifelong friendships are forged and unforgettable memories are made. We don’t get out and get uncomfortable enough in our lives so I want to challenge you to find something uncomfortable this month and complete it (no you don’t have to run through the desert, but it is fun).

Unforgettable moments in the Tetons NP 🐎

I caught the last bits of the fall leaves and a little unexpected snow ❄️ The clouds were heavy over the mountains and only parted one night. Holding my freezing hands as steady as possible I was able to snap the last shot with the mountains illuminated under a bright moon.
