🇮🇸 Iceland’s glacial rivers

Some places live in your imagination for years before you ever set foot, or fly, over them.

The glacial rivers near Skaftafell have been that place for me. For ten years I’ve wanted to see these endless, constantly changing patterns. One of natures abstract paintings, alive, powerful, and humbling.

From the window of a small plane, I finally got to see this masterpiece 🖼️🎨

Shot on @leica_camera Q3 and @sonyalpha A1 + 24-70mm F2.8 GM II

Wildest ride in the wilderness 🐎

Had the privilege of riding through snowfall on horseback with my mom and sister. A majestic experience that felt like a dreamscape, one I will never forget. Even if my toes felt like they ran off to warmer land. 😂 Special thank you to @olderelder for capturing such stunning shots so I can cherish these memories with an accompanied visual. 🙌

It’s the wind I swear 😅 This all happened within the first two minutes we got to the beach and was not expecting the winds to be this strong at all but we survived and made it out all sandy 😂💨 #instagramvsreality #brilliantcreatorstakemia #stmaarten
