Our biggest ever season of community #applepicking is nearly complete!!

We cannot believe it’s been a week since the incredible Apple Land gathering organised by our freinds and @oldtreeevents

So much gratitude to all the contributors, (which is absolutely everyone who came!).. you made our micro-apple harvest celebration into another huge success. It’s hard to convey how special this event is, the community that it has bought together and the brilliance of their collective work. We are so happy to be the fermentation vessel for this human apple pie !! 🥧

If you made it this year we’d love any testimonials you could share with us via the mail out we’ll send to all guests, but also let us know in the comments! Was it your favourite Apple Land yet? This was number 6!

This year we unlocked a new farm to process all the apples really efficiently (full story to come about our whole month of social scrumping work) This was our biggest ever #harvest month to come but we have collectively brought together over 50 volunteers and picked and processed nearly 20 tons of 🍎🍏fruit into 8000 litres of the most delicious juice to supply for the future of this social impact work 🙌

Special thanks to the super organisers that made Apple Land festival fund nearly 20 of these volunteers tickets this year and really curate all this magic ✨Apple Land is manifested by 6 freinds - @campesina_food @forest.freya @ellen.elgar @jessica.woodrow @rosiefieldhouse_makings and @compost.tom
Huge love to the #corecrew and all Old Tree apple lovers you are phenomenal!!

Thanks separately to @realfarmingtrust for supporting this years Apple picking event.

And amazing partners in the foraging and fermented drinks revolution @uk.forestmedicine @artistrawcider @stroudbrewery massive thanks for the most banging drinks guys

Let’s keep this big apple heart flowing..

Apple Land is just 2 weeks way folks!!
One of our big themes is always agro-forestry and forest gardening that the orchard fruit abundance of the UK really encapsulates for us…

This year are thrilled to announce 📣 two things about this year that will make the event juicer for everyone involved.

1. We are providing a simple dinner on Thursday the 22nd this year so there are 7 hot meals (plus all breakfasts, teas and coffees included in the ticket 🎫 price ✔️)

2. After dinner for everyone on THURSDAY the 22nd @threepools_permaculturefarm we are over the moon 🌝 to announce that we’re hosting a directors screening with @elsakent_ the creator of the acclaimed film THE NUT FARMER OF GLASTONBURY @glastonburynutfarm

This will kick off after dinner and then @compost.tom will facilitate a discussion with Elsa and everyone interested to explore the big question that we know this wonderful film will evoke answers to - HOW CAN WE MAKE AGRO-FORESTRY (whole ecosystem farming with trees) MORE ADOPTABLE & WIDESPREAD IN THE UK?

If you share our dreams of a humans future with wayyy more trees 🌳 that enables biodiversity recover and young people to have jobs that help to restore instead of deplete nature and wildlife - then grab one of the the last Apple land tickets now and come and join us for this incredible film 🎥 premiere with Elsa 🙌

Hope to see you in the Sleeve at Three POOLS on Thursday the 22nd for the kick off of APPLE LAND 2026 💚 by @oldtreeevents

We’re all set up at the incredible @organicgrowersgathering with the @oldtreeevents team. A real honour to brew the drinks for this community and be celebrated as agro-ecological drinks makers to quench the thirst of the organic farmers in the UK !
Yesterday @compost.tom went on stage with Muji @uk.forestmedicine and delivered a short talk and drinks tasting called awaking a thirst for #agro-forestry. It was the beginning of a talk and workshop we want to develop to inspire people to stop buying mass-produced drinks and start revaluing what the land is offering us - the abundance of biodiversity that grows wherever peasants work!
This is the past and the future of our drinking culture..

APPLE season is upon us!! 🤩
We are gearing up for another season of small orchard #applepicking and pressing in the west of England and south wales.
Our Apples for life collaborators Mickey and Finch have been scoping out the #harvest this year at the Ragmans Lane orchards where we will base the majority of our month of social impact work - making sure as much of the precious fruit as possible gets put to good use 🍎💫

There was wonderful blossom 🌸 here in the spring and a reasonable looking crop of #apples developed but then it was stunted by the huge drought this summer and it looked like the apple crop this year would be numerous but small…
NOT SO for this #heritage variety called HOWGATE WONDER though…
look at the size of these 🤩

We can’t wait to be back in the orchards again - the most abundance precious fruit forests of this land 🇬🇧 it’s always so enlivening and socially connective to pick fruit with people and it’s a culture we need to keep investing in…

3 major apple events are being released in partnership with the other Old Tree branches @oldtreeevents & @oldtreesoil this year - Apple Land (the micro-harvest festival) Apple Core (a 10 day apple picking and pressing party at Ragmans Lane) and Apple Crumble (a post Apple land gathering focussed on resilience and reorganising the future for our social impact work with trees and people)

If your interested in getting involved - you can get an Apple Land ticket 🎫 now by the 🔗’s in our 🌳 and you can email oldtreesoil@gmail.com to@be the first to be invited to join the table for Apple Core and Apple Crumble ✨

Big up again @freya.does.stuff and @stephaniesohail for making the art work for this years orchard adventures and celebrations that really capture the soul of what and why we do this every year 🙏🤗🍏😇🌸 taken in Ragmans Lane Farm by @oldtreeevents

More than any bar at any old festival, checkout this transformation of space and time folks 🤩
BEFORE…. (Swipe left)
AFTER !! 😀

Massive thanks to our incredible @oldtreeevents team and volunteer for all their hard work setting up these spaces @in2wildfestival 💚

We brought the newly created Old Tree rickshaw bar 🛺 this year and collaborated with the incredible Muji of @uk.forestmedicine to run an additional bar and tea tent in the Enchanted Woods for the night time stage, as well as our main pitch here, at the end of the food corridor.

We also ran our own talks tent as a second room to the dome space and #treesontap #kombucha bar

Our founder @compost.tom and Muji gave a 2 hour talk and open space on Agro-forestry and Creating Resilience in British Food Chains @infinityfoodscooperative founder @peterjdeadman spoke on the windy Saturday afternoon about the pillars of health and the incredible @keivor.john of told the live story of community owned farming that is taking root in #sussex with @mylittlefarm.uk

We also did a DRINK THE FOREST drinks tasting on the Friday!! So much happened and special thanks to the amazing @beccamannfire for co-organising
And managing this ft. With us for several weeks before.

We had some good dancing, workshop and chilling time in between the bar service at this #festival that is local to us with lots of great humans.
A highlight was the rave in our space brought by @djlilxav on the Saturday night and the vibes that our new roaming rickshaw bar created.

We’ve provided all the drinks here for the @oldtreeevents bar service for over 5 years now and every year is an evolution…

Thanks for having us again Into the Wild community 🙌✨💚 next time we’d like to speak on the main stage please!! 😜 by @oldtreeevents
