We’re all set up at the incredible @organicgrowersgathering with the @oldtreeevents team. A real honour to brew the drinks for this community and be celebrated as agro-ecological drinks makers to quench the thirst of the organic farmers in the UK ! Yesterday @compost.tom went on stage with Muji @uk.forestmedicine and delivered a short talk and drinks tasting called awaking a thirst for #agro-forestry. It was the beginning of a talk and workshop we want to develop to inspire people to stop buying mass-produced drinks and start revaluing what the land is offering us - the abundance of biodiversity that grows wherever peasants work! This is the past and the future of our drinking culture.. Drink Forest Gardens!! 🍻💫🍻

APPLE season is upon us!! 🤩 We are gearing up for another season of small orchard #applepicking and pressing in the west of England and south wales. Our Apples for life collaborators Mickey and Finch have been scoping out the #harvest this year at the Ragmans Lane orchards where we will base the majority of our month of social impact work - making sure as much of the precious fruit as possible gets put to good use 🍎💫 There was wonderful blossom 🌸 here in the spring and a reasonable looking crop of #apples developed but then it was stunted by the huge drought this summer and it looked like the apple crop this year would be numerous but small… NOT SO for this #heritage variety called HOWGATE WONDER though… look at the size of these 🤩 We can’t wait to be back in the orchards again - the most abundance precious fruit forests of this land 🇬🇧 it’s always so enlivening and socially connective to pick fruit with people and it’s a culture we need to keep investing in… 3 major apple events are being released in partnership with the other Old Tree branches @oldtreeevents & @oldtreesoil this year - Apple Land (the micro-harvest festival) Apple Core (a 10 day apple picking and pressing party at Ragmans Lane) and Apple Crumble (a post Apple land gathering focussed on resilience and reorganising the future for our social impact work with trees and people) If your interested in getting involved - you can get an Apple Land ticket 🎫 now by the 🔗’s in our 🌳 and you can email oldtreesoil@gmail.com to@be the first to be invited to join the table for Apple Core and Apple Crumble ✨ Big up again @freya.does.stuff and @stephaniesohail for making the art work for this years orchard adventures and celebrations that really capture the soul of what and why we do this every year 🙏🤗🍏😇🌸

More than any bar at any old festival, checkout this transformation of space and time folks 🤩 BEFORE…. (Swipe left) AFTER !! 😀 Massive thanks to our incredible @oldtreeevents team and volunteer for all their hard work setting up these spaces @in2wildfestival 💚 We brought the newly created Old Tree rickshaw bar 🛺 this year and collaborated with the incredible Muji of @uk.forestmedicine to run an additional bar and tea tent in the Enchanted Woods for the night time stage, as well as our main pitch here, at the end of the food corridor. We also ran our own talks tent as a second room to the dome space and #treesontap #kombucha bar Our founder @compost.tom and Muji gave a 2 hour talk and open space on Agro-forestry and Creating Resilience in British Food Chains @infinityfoodscooperative founder @peterjdeadman spoke on the windy Saturday afternoon about the pillars of health and the incredible @keivor.john of told the live story of community owned farming that is taking root in #sussex with @mylittlefarm.uk We also did a DRINK THE FOREST drinks tasting on the Friday!! So much happened and special thanks to the amazing @beccamannfire for co-organising And managing this ft. With us for several weeks before. We had some good dancing, workshop and chilling time in between the bar service at this #festival that is local to us with lots of great humans. A highlight was the rave in our space brought by @djlilxav on the Saturday night and the vibes that our new roaming rickshaw bar created. We’ve provided all the drinks here for the @oldtreeevents bar service for over 5 years now and every year is an evolution… Thanks for having us again Into the Wild community 🙌✨💚 next time we’d like to speak on the main stage please!! 😜

✨🌳MEDICINE FESTIVAL🌳✨ A really good dream and Oak Tree celebration 💫 It was an honour to be your kombucha supplier and brew for your incredible community with with Oak leaves from the wise oaks of @wasing1759 We drank to the trees for their shade and sang for the rain! 🌧️ You chose us because we are a Community Interest Company and we offered to provide seven taps 🚰 with two flavours across all of your food and drink venues across the site for the love of Medicine! We are grateful to have been given the platform to share our drinks made with a global community that share the appreciation for the plants and trees 🙏 AND most excitedly, to have finally had the people power to realise our ⚡️ RICKSHAW 🛺 DREAMS 🤗 For over a decade we have owned this Rickshaw with the intention of investing in it to make an ecological Sollution to doing markets and Marketting.. we’ve always needed a Kombucha Trike! Inspired by the Old oak Trees on this site that we have come to know we created the solar powered rickshaw (that we named Quercus after Quercus Robor - the Latin name for the oak tree) to be of service! We gave out tasters to hundreds of glorious humans and were able to start telling a new cultural story / reviving an older one. A #truestory about our ancestral connection to land and place and how our ancestors first started brewing with trees 🌳 🌲 🌳 and what our living landscapes have always provided… 🍃🍯🍎✨💧🌸🍂 We’re genuinely blown away by how many great conversations and beautiful creatures we met!! It was a huge amount of work and there were some big hills to climb 😅 but it was worth it for the company and the Oak Trees. THANK YOU for having us @medicinefestival You drank over 1000 litres of our award winning Oak Leaf kombucha from @wasing1759 Oak Trees and 750 of our best selling Foragers Garden brewed with organically farmed Lemonbalm and Lavender To everyone we met 🤩 You were incredible and please know these drinks are available on our website all year round and support the social impact work that we do with fermentation, foraging and composting revival OLD TREE LOVE 🙌✨💚 Your Oak Tree kombucha people 🌳🙏✨

Long overdue GRATITUDE post! 💌 The past few months have been relentless and we couldn’t have made it through without some of the most exceptional human beings that have commited to help and work for us. First of all we would like to thank Emma @emmalouisecoley for pouring so much energy into Old Tree for a third of this year! Emma is moving on now but she was such an incredible energy and organisational force for us when we needed her skills so much! THANK YOU EMMA you are what it says in the last photo 👌😊 Secondly - thank you to our core team! We have all been enduring extreme heat recently and it’s been demanding AF but everyone in the #brewery has been so solid. Tai and Jon @slacketyslackslack have done SO MUCH for Old Tree before and since the @crowdfunderuk @iside_brewingwild whose been brewing, bottling and kegging thousands of litres every month in the extreme heat. Big thanks to @tenzinshares for helping us to harvest and dry the oak leaves for @medicinefestival that we are excited to be brewing more oak leaf kombucha for than this island may have ever seen! 🤩 Thanks to freya.does.stuff for showing up to paint every sign when it was needed and our legendary new foraging freind called Moss (second last photo) has been unbelievably helpful and kind. 💚 MOSS Thank you to brilliant photographer @daisywingatesaul for capturing some high quality pictures of our drinks and gathering - manufacturing operations with Oak leaves recently 🙌 couldn’t recommend Daisy 📸 more 😇 Thanks to all the volunteers for @oldtreeevents - it has been a joy to share these experiences with you last but not least THANK YOU to all our customers and clients that keep supporting It feels good to share about the relationships we’re grateful for. We’d like to see MORE GRATITUDE being expressed in the world. There’s a quote that’s inspired us in this by Plato: ‘Gratitude is not only the greatest of all virtues, but the parent of all others’ 🤌 If you can be anything, be kind. If you can be everything, BE GRATEFUL 🙏 Finally, ThankYOU for reading all this and following Old Tree on the journey We’d love to hear what you’re grateful for today in the comments. 🧺💚

Sneak preview of our new solar powered Oak Tree wagon! 😃🌳💚 Tom @compost.tom has been busy upgrading our old Rickshaw into an Old Tree mobile!! Roaming Rickshaw bar? Tricycle Tree Tap? Old Oak Trike? Name still to be decided!! Tricycle signage and decoration still in the making.. This is a project that we have been working on to take to @medicinefestival next week where we are supplying the Kombucha on tap to 7 of the amazing food and drink venues across the site @wasing1759 and the plan is to be roaming around spreading the word of Oak and foraging abundance whilst quenching as much thirst as possible and let everyone taste what they can experience from the main bars on this. Huge thanks to @goodvibrationssociety for the support in having us this weekend to give it its first public outing serving our hand foraginf drinks to the wonderful humans there. We have invested in this with @oldtreeevents as a tool to do more Offgrid and solar powered events. Electrically assisted and renewable power pedal powered vehicles are the future! Diesel generators and fossil fuel reliance ro power our gatherings has to end.
