It’s Parmigiano Reggiano Day, and @parmigianoreggiano.na is taking over the Oldways Cheese Coalition Instagram for the day! Planning a trip to Italy? Visiting a Parmigiano Reggiano dairy is one of the best ways to experience the cheese and the land it comes from. Watch the cheesemakers at work, see how each wheel is made, and finish with a guided tasting of different ages, often paired with other products from the region. It’s much more than a tour: it’s a tradition that has been passed down for centuries. Visit the link in our bio or visit ParmigianoReggiano.com to book a dairy visit with Vivi Parmigiano Reggiano. #ParmigianoReggiano #ParmigianoReggianoDay by @oldwayscheese

🧀🎉 Happy International Raw Milk Cheese Appreciation Day! 🧀🎉 #IRMCAD2026 Raw milk cheeses are made with milk that has not been pasteurized or heat-treated. Pasteurization removes many of the fungi spores, yeasts and microorganisms that make a cheese unique. There are delicious pasteurized cheeses, but raw milk cheeses are worth celebrating for their complexity of flavor, diversity and history. The quality of the ingredients, the extreme care taken by producers, and the natural cheese aging process ensure that raw milk cheeses are a safe choice. (Raw milk cheese ≠ fluid raw milk!) Their producers represent years, even decades, of knowledge, tradition and thoughtful cheese-making. How will you celebrate #rawcheeseday TODAY? by @oldwayscheese
Come with us to a cheese sale (in a warehouse!) Our Whole Grain Stamp Program Manager Vik Bensen made the trek across town to @chesse_cheese's warehouse, picking up goodies and chatting with fellow cheese-lovers while there. You don't have to find a warehouse to enjoy traditional cheeses. International Raw Milk Cheese Appreciation Day is on Saturday -- the perfect opportunity to run to a store near you and try a few new-to-you cheeses (and share them with others!). by @oldwayscheese
