@leslietuckerjenison I have been itching to cut into my collection of “Handloom”, @tarafaughnan new yarn-dyed collection. I randomly pulled some of my washed fabric and put them in my car so I could stitch with them at my Airbnb. Today, I finally had a few minutes to play with them (too tired when I get home each evening…so far). I’m using the monthly prompt to create and I am choosing to improvisationally-cut and hand-piece at my little sewing station on the dining room table. As hoped, the cloth is very easy to stitch through! Here is the beginning of my first block quadrant. Very meditative and fun! My tools: @ldh_scissors @olisohome mini iron, @sewline_official fabric to fabric glue pen and I brought my portable light purchased on the @quiltfolk website & now it is time to run errands. #colorblockcollective by @olisohome

Proof that you don’t need a big, fancy sewing room to make beautiful things! 🪡🤍

As someone who does ALL of her sewing at the kitchen table, I’ve learned to get a little creative when it comes to making the most of a small workspace!

My ironing board doubles as extra workspace, my @olisohome irons are some of my favorite sewing tools (and totally worth upgrading to!), my @thegypsyquilter wool pressing mat is my bestie and my latest little hack might be my favorite yet!

I found these suction cup clips and realized I could turn the mirror above my ironing board into a makeshift design wall! They stick right to the glass, hold my quilt blocks beautifully, and can be moved around or taken down whenever I need to. You could do the exact same thing with a window, too! I linked them in my bio if you’re interested!

Would I love to have a dedicated sewing room someday? Absolutely. But for now, I’m learning to make the most of the space I have, and honestly, there’s something really special about that. 🤎 What are some of your favorite space-saving sewing hacks? I’d love to hear them! 🫶🏼

She’s done!!! (kinda) I finished piecing my scrappy mosaic improv quilt, and here’s a little bit of the process. Its just a small-ish size as a wall hanging. decided to hand-quilt it using big-stitch quilting, so that will take much longer. I’m so excited with the outcome 🥰 iron: @olisohome M3 Pro

Bmore Fabric Swap is almost here, and I’ve been getting LOTS of questions! So let’s clear a few things up!

First things first… IT’S COMPLETELY FREE! 💙

📅 Sunday, November 1
⏰ 12–3 PM
📍 The Garage at R. House
301 W. 29th Street, Baltimore

🧵 What can you bring?
Garment and quilting fabric, yarn, thread, patterns, notions, sewing machines, and other sewing and crafting supplies!

💙 What if you have nothing to bring?
COME ANYWAY! You don’t have to bring anything to participate. We’re all about building community and giving these materials a new home.

✂️ What about scraps?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept fabric scraps this time around.

📦 Early drop-off?
YES! You can drop off your donations between 10–11 AM. This is DROP-OFF ONLY. Shopping begins at noon!

🚗 Parking?
We’ve got options!
• Free parking in the police lot across the street
• Free validated parking at Remington Row
• Street parking

Still a work-in-progress — more updates to come on my scrappy mosaic improv quilt 🔮 I am loving my @olisohome M3Pro so much!! With improv, there’s a lot of back-and-forth between the sewing machine and ironing, so my favorite feature is the one-touch button and how the iron heats up lightning-fast! Also, who knew how helpful a light would be?! by @olisohome
