May 3rd 2022 my world stopped. My best friend my nana my back bone. The wisdom and love she gave me I feel everyday. Hair was life, family was life, art and beauty, life of the party, and party was in her. Elegant, exotic, exciting, humble, a genius a writer, heart filled of all the film and art. She lived a million lives. She taught me so much at such an early age, exposing me to much at such a young age. I was so lucky. Her was infections spirit was larger than life. She was canonical, every hairstyle she passed by on the streets she found fascinating or fabulous she would deconstructed to figure out exactly how it was done. She was the only hairdresser in my life, getting my hair done by her it was an experience I’ll chase for the rest of my life. Her outfits were deeply thought through. She loved life and it loved her back. I will remember everything and hold it so close and tight forever she will live on through me and I am so proud to be her granddaughter. The strength that she carried through life was untouchable. She was larger than life. Anyone who knew her could vouch and say she was the most brilliant woman. Most beautiful inside and out. She would have loved brat summer. She didn’t care what anyone thought she was unapologetically herself. The loss of her is too much and I need her, but I know she would have wanted an instagram post on any day no matter what it was for she was a real social butterfly.
