POSTS STORIES REELS

We’re incredibly thrilled to see another collaboration with the fantastic team at @thomashamel in the pages of @voguelivingau again for their VL50 issue where Thomas has been recognized as the interior designer of the year.

This bronze drapery chandelier for their Point Piper project has been nickel plated for a soft silver patina and projects a cast glass fin that radiates light above the kitchen island with the under lighting highlighting the bubbles caught in the glass.

This labour of love was a team effort with lots of reworking the form and welding by Felix and Phil and overall design, lighting and installation by Ash.

The glasswork was created with @canberraglassworks the bronze cast in house at our own foundry @customcastings_

Revisiting an idea from works I made nearly 20 years ago, here’s my first test of casting water texture into mirror polished bronze for what will become a larger wall sculpture. It’s a little different from my fabric works and would love to know what you think! by @olivertannerart

A throwback to an older project we never posted, these bedside tables in rolled brass, with a really nice offset seam detail and a satin finish were made for @ninamayainteriors Surfers Paradise project. Also pictured is one of our layered mirrors with polished bronze location stones in the second image. by @olivertannerart

Approaching the final polish on this work before it’s sealed. This is our largest version of this drapery style work in a mirror polish finish we’ve ever made. Coming in at 1 meter diameter, these pieces are always a labour of love, but also something incredibly satisfying to bring to completion when they start to look like this. by @olivertannerart

Reminiscent of a view of the mountains and a very starry night.

On the 16th Nov we had the best day of our lives so far!
So many of our friends and family in one place at the same time to share our big day meant the world to us! Thanks to everyone who came from near and far to celebrate with us, it was perfect! We still can’t stop smiling ☺️

Surprise sighting of a custom door handle we made for @em_be_ce

Last week as we were dropping a piece to a client we spotted this handle in the wild. Designed by the team at @em_be_ce we cast two off hand versions in bronze and worked with the door builders who created this behemoth around the handles.

Through our in-house foundry @customcastings_ we are able to make all manner of one off pieces from architectural components, to table legs and light fittings. We can work from an idea or sketch through to a fully realised form like this. by @olivertannerart

Table on top of the world.

Getting asked to design an outdoor dining table for a terrace with sweeping views of Sydney Harbour is a pleasure, @ninamayainteriors wanting two olive trees to grow through the table is an absolute treat.

With a structural internal frame engineered to be able to assemble around the trees and adequately supported on a floating slab, and sheathed marble legs and segmented tops ensuring the entire table does not have to be dismantled if there are serious issues with the trees, and factoring in the potential for 20 years of growth, all the while making it a beautiful statement piece worthy of the house, the clients and the view.

We love the opportunity to design and produce exceptional pieces, working with everyone from the landscape architects, builders, engineers, architects and interior designers to ensure all issues and concerns are addressed and resolved beautifully.

Sitting in a quiet corner in one of our largest projects to date are these beautiful ottoman legs in cast bronze.

This cast bronze screen is something we are all particularly proud of. It was designed to hold individual cast glass and gold leaf panels, but it was decided to leave it as is once it was installed. At 3.9 metres tall, it was a massive undertaking to cast, weld, polish, patina and finish a unified piece of this size. What a joy to get the opportunity to make something truly epic in cast bronze, thanks to the team at @thomashamel for trusting us to create this piece! It was a huge effort from the team with @ashleycorbettsmith leading the design and @felixfeneley bringing the technical fabrication skills. by @olivertannerart
