Coming Soon: Fancy Ices at Woodward Henry, the Bompas & Parr Studio Gallery 🍦

Inspired by Victorian “Queen of Ices” Agnes Bertha Marshall, Fancy Ices will bring together nine women artists and historical items from the British Museum of Food, with Bompas & Parr ice creams served alongside, to explore sweetness, nostalgia and spectaclein all their melting forms.

@oliviaster takes over the @thearthouselive kitchen alongside @fatboyzine, at JOY 2026.

Olivia Sterling is a London-based painter and installation artist whose vivid, closely cropped canvases use slapstick humour to examine the quiet violence of racialised everyday life. At JOY, she joins FatBoy Zine for their Sweet Talk kitchen takeover - a natural pairing: food, conversation, and a sharp eye for how culture gets cooked up and served.

Olivia joins us at JOY as part of a packed, two-day programme featuring the likes of @hatsrichardson, @oof_gallery @anthonyburrill, @donnie_odonnell, @mam_sham_, and many more.

This May, Gazelli Art House presents Taste and Decency, a group exhibition bringing into dialogue pioneering female figures of Pop Art with a younger generation of contemporary artists, including Rosie Gibbens, Jann Haworth, Rachel Maclean, Olivia Sterling, and Idelle Weber. From the rise of mass advertising and consumer culture in the 1960s to today’s environment of self-advertising, digital performance, and constant image circulation, the exhibition examines how bodies, desires, and social behaviours are shaped for public view.
