This the third of four Wave 4 figs and upgrades. We will be buying parts and sending these in to start printing next month, so they are ready in time for the movie (hopefully!)

This upgrade set features pad printing on the torso, arms, front and side legs and comes with a custom hairpiece in light bluish gray. He will also come with a dark bluish gray cape.
Please note: the head and helmet shown above do NOT come with the upgrade set. Only for display purposes.

Sasha Calle was a pretty great Supergirl and the real highlight of The Flash. It’s a shame she didn’t get to return. Just like Chips Flash figure, this one is also based on the cancelled Supergirl from the same set but with the additions of arm and leg print and a FAR BETTER custom hair piece.

The hair piece is a custom steel mould that I think is one of Chip’s best. It perfectly captures her look and is a much better choice than the original curtain bangs bowl cut from the official design.
The only parts remaining from the that figure is the face and torso. The toothy smile really doesn’t suit the character but I understand why is was still included as the goal was to replicate the official prints.

The torso has the same Henry Cavil S symbol and a lot of detailed lining and dotted texture across highlights of the suit that is all very necessarily carried over to the arms and legs making her look very complete.

The Flash is a weird movie but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy how odd it is.
Because of its poor reception, LEGO cancelled the one set they had planned being the 1989 Batmobile with the Flash, Supergirl and of course Batman.
Chip has recreated all 3 of these figure with additional printing.
A complimentary limited edition “Speed Force” version with gold lines to represent his powered up suit has been produced, each featuring a uniquely numbered 2x2 tile.

The mask, head, torso and legs are all replica prints of the original cancelled figure showing off a surprisingly detailed swirly design across the suit with the bold gold details. Chip has to extend that design onto the arms to really complete the look.

The Speed Force version has the same base design but with extra gold lines where they’d be black on the base figure. These added metallic details really catch the light and definitely outshine the original (pun intended). This variant was limited to 100 figures made.

While Lego got away with reusing torsos for Marvel’s first family figures last year, they are all subtly different and worth the extra details. As usual these Levelup minifigures go for a blend of that official LEGO look and Phoenix’s more detailed designs.

Out of all the prints across these 4 figures, only Reed and Sue’s arms are shared (not counting the backs of the legs). Every other print is entirely unique. The boots of each figure is printed to replicate dual moulded parts which means the white is a consistent opacity across the entire figure.
As expected from Phoenix, each likeness is an unmistakable match for their respective actor.

Johnny and Sue both use official lego hair pieces with Sue’s being a new and uncommon one made for Glinda from Wicked. Reed makes use of quite a common part but has his iconic painted grey temples. Ben features an entirely new head accessory to add his rocky details. This part is fairly different from the official one with much more toned down details and an overall more rounded look. This is not the only custom mould that can be added The Thing which I will cover in a separate post.
