my friend sent me Maren Altman‘s forecast for Venus in Aries, and asked me what i think. i had Maren’s chart at one point as a young western astrologer i met at the end of 2022 and was thinking of starting an astrology business with was obsessed with Maren and her astrological fame.i don’t remember much of Maren’s chart but from what i remember she’s really powerful, but kind of obliviously drunk on her own power. in her forecast, Maren said that every time Venus enters Aries, “your dating life is a competitive sport and if you want something or someone you are probably going to do it, and someone is probably going to go after you, and you are aggressively manifesting... loud, sweaty and unhinged...”i don’t do tropical but what Maren says just started has been going on for most of April and sounds like Rahu with Saturn and Venus fit the first half of May in Pisces sidereal until Rahu transits into Aquarius, which isn’t what happens every year that Venus is in Aries (western astrology is tropical, not sidereal and can be very crude)... Maren might be a bit of an irresponsible fool if she isn’t aware of that... personally i sort of can’t believe she has titty bounce in her forecasts lol, but anything to compensate for her aggravated shrill voice i guess...also Mercury is debilitated/fallen in Pisces for the next 1-2 weeks and even though Venus in Pisces breaks the fall, Rahu and Saturn definitely don’t... to say nothing about Mars debilitated/fallen as well, which inflames erratic passions even more... 😬{continued in comments} by @omkarson

i was an April Fool’s social media legend a decade ago, and i started looking forward to the day for a good while and now the day doesn’t even register in my awareness. i will think harder on this and apply some of my fantasy spy training… it has to be in character and believable… by @omkarson

Bob Barker, host for 35 years of The Price Is Right, the longest running game show in American TV history, passed away at age 99. the correlation between the colorful fun capitalism incentivized by California glamour deeply impressed itself on my young mind and Bob was a surrogate TV father, he always felt good as he gave prizes that would certainly improve my family’s suburban life.i was raised in a repressed Jewish family that somewhat mirrored the secular culture of the time, in that subtlety and the implicit were de rigueur. my adult life is filled with contemplation and unpacking of so much of the televised media that was wholly inappropriate for me as young sheltered child looking to understand the outside world.as i emerged from a chrysalis of youth into a murky swamp of adolescence in which i was explicitly aware that contact with the female form was forbidden, TV offered me a deeper escape and i absolutely knew that i was deeply in love/lust with Vanna White from Wheel Of Fortune and The Price Is Right models. imagine my delight today upon discovering Vanna was a contestant! as you can see in these slides, Bob towed a line back in the day that would not be allowed now. indeed the model and assistant Dian Parkinson sued Barker for sexual harassment in 1994 after a three year affair, she dropped the lawsuit due to ill health caused by stress. other model assistants sued and settled.Barker was a married man for 36 years until his wife died in 1981, and then he was the quintessential American bachelor. Bob was a vegetarian and staunch activist for animal rights, and has funded animal health, rescue and park facilities nationwide. Bob did his best to be a good man in a culture laced with patriarchy and misogyny, in an economy rampant with insecurity necessary to perpetuate capitalism. in the words of Adam Sandler, who appears with Barker in the classic 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore: “the man. the myth. the best, such a sweet funny guy to hang out with. loved talking to him. loved laughing with him. loved him kicking the crap out of me." kudos Bob, you inadvertently helped us externally love capitalism as it internally kicked the crap out of all of us. by @omkarson
