Embroidery in Solidarity with Palestine

We are holding this beautiful event again as a space of holding, offering many possibilities: meet like minded humans in your local area, share stories and reflect, feel less alone, share the grief, love, hope and rage, make connections and organise, share knowledge and resources or just come along to be together. You are welcome to sew or just hang out and have a cuppa, in solidarity with the people of Palestine. All welcome.

Tea and coffee provided, bring something for a pot luck lunch, but only if you can. Your presence is the most important! Kids of all ages welcome too, and there will be some art materials for drawing and making posters. And @omondk and I will be on hand to show you how to do some basic stitching if you like. Materials provided but bring your sewing kit if you like.

Me and @jenrobsonartist really enjoyed our little gathering today 🥰 thank you so much to everyone who came along. There was a lot of love in the room. Nice to do something to celebrate the beauty of Palestine and show our solidarity with them. @peace_ann1 came along with her incredible jumper 😍. @jenrobsonartist made a beautiful reflection table that allowed those who wanted to to take a moment and remember the Palestinian lives lost to the genocide.

The quilt / tapestry has been started by @artworkersforpalestinescotland and has travelled around Scotland growing with the love and stitches put into it. by @omondk
